Nathan, I'm sorry son, I like TBP, but even as a person that doesn't keep up with county, I have to say that Little Big Town is the superior group. The music, the vocals, and especially the harmonies between them trumps TBP (just my opinion, don't mean to offend you, just going by my musical background and tastes).
Really like this one...

And doing stuff like this shows a lot of diversity, which I really like and respect.

Just listen to those last few songs I posted, you'll get it. Even a rock fan like me can respect what they do. The are a great bunch of musicians, and that blond headed chick can belt it out. God her voice is powerful.

Fantastic song, fantastic cover. Loved the original when I was young, love this one now. Good stuff.
As most of you know, I'm not a fan of modern country music. However, I have to make an exception. Little Big Town is fantastic, I've listened to a lot of their stuff and it is spectacular. That is a great band. I just heard this one the other day when I was in the ol' lady's car and it blew me away. Not that the song was that great, but that the vocals and the harmony was so on point. Holy crap those voices together are chilling. I love it and I'm not afraid to admit it.
Yes Nate, I'm getting back into other country songs as well. I'll fess up to it later. You were right, I was wrong. Happy now?

Forgot to mention, Exhibit C little buddy. Country music that you love. Nashville is just up the road. This is where is all happens son.

Carrie Underwood really irritates me, but for some reason I love this song. Dammed you Nathan, you've got me back into country music.

People just love to write of country, but it's such a wide, diverse genre, that most people can probably find something they like.
Here's some old TBP that they put on the deluxe version of the new CD. Not exactly country, but love this song.
And another about the end of time in the south.
And Hannah Blaylock (formerly of Edens Edge). Her voice gives me chills.

I was a little ahead of the other kids, especially considering that I'm a dumb **** now. Hell, I started talking in complete phrases before I could walk, and I started walking before I was a year old.
I guess I peaked early, because I went down hill from there, dumb as **** nowadays.
I don't write off country, I grew up with it at my grandparents. I love all kinds of music. I love everything from country, to rock to blues, to soul music and Motown from the 60s, that stuff was playing in my house constantly when I was little. Otis Redding, Percy Sledge, The Supremes, Aretha Franklin, etc. know those songs all by heart. I'd stand in front of the record player for hours dancing and singing those Motown records and soul music when I was little. I think I've got a pic somewhere of me in one of my "groovy" outfits dancing and singing in front of the stereo. My parents used it as a babysitter to get me out of their hair and shut me up, I talked and asked questions non-stop, even as a toddler when other kids were still mumbling mama and dada.

I think this might have been the groovy outfit, I think it was the same time as the other pic, only pic I have on this computer. I'll have to look for the one of me dancing and singing in front of the record player next time I'm at my parent's house.

I don't know why. Sometimes my brain does this. It's repeating this over and over:

I can't really get it to stop. The alcohol then the breaking heart bit. Only that. Over and over and over.
Stupid brain.
