growing up around music, going through the band stuff i did in school, yeah i have a very wide range in my music choices. About the only thing I dont listen to is heavy metal, and the newer rap. Hip hop such as ludacris, Dr. Dre, eminem, i still like, but pretty much anyone with "lil" in thier name is crap to me compared to the mid-late 90's artist. When it comes to country, i cant handle the really slow sappy stuff, prefer things like ZBB. Im all over the place. I even have a taste for classical and symphonic pieces.

Same, I saw them at the Alabama Theatre here in Birmingham, very very old and cool venue to see a group like them in. This had to be around 97-99 if i remember right.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alabama_Theatre

it also houses one of only 3 Wurlitzer organs still installed in their original locations. (only 25 ever made)

The Royal Philharmonic orchestra conducted by David Palmer is even better.

You are hte first person i've ever met that has even heard of the London one, let alone turn me onto another one. Im going to look for it now.

I also have the London Philharmonic where they did Led Zeppelin. When The Levee Breaks is phenomenal to me on it. then again I lived for stuff like that when I played in the symphony at school, luckily our director had a taste for it as well.

I never played in a band, although my friends want me to, but this. Exactly. And I even have a ton of movie soundtracks I put on sometimes - it's nice to match road trips with the music from movies in that area.

I have nearly a decade of some musical playing.. sax (alto and tenor), drums (set, bass, and snare), then i picked up bass guitar shortly after high school and played that for a few years. I grew up around my dad playing in bands, mainly classic rock (by todays standards) and he played lead guitar and sang.

sadly havent played anything in years

No that one is different. This one has an awesome version of Run Like Hell, On the Turning Away, and surprisingly When the Tigers broke free. It's called Orchestral Maneuvers: David Palmer and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra: Music of Pink Floyd.

It has to be at least 20 years old as I got it in high school. It's worth tracking it down!

There's some on eBay for cheap. It used to be called "objects of fantasy" music of pink floyd/David Palmer. Same music just different cover.
