I will say it was one of the more mainstream CDs that helped pave the way, but others prior included . .

NWA and the Posse
NWA Straight Outta Compton
NWA (100 Miles and 4Life)
Eazy-E
Too Short (Born to Mack & Life is . . )
Ice T (Rhyme Pays & Power)
D.O.C. (No One Can Do It Better) - - Perhaps one of the best West Coast CDs of ALL Time . .
DJ Quik (Quik is the Name) = Awesome CD as well!
Etc.

Obviously there were many more West Coast rappers/groups (Paris, MC Eiht - Comptons Most Wanted, Kid Frost, Mellow Man Ace, ATL, etc.)

My iPod took a dump this afternoon, so I've been listening to Beatles-A-Rama on iTunes Radio. I can't get through the day without my Fab Four fix.
