What happened since you joined TMS?
Things have me thinking. I joined this forum in May 2004, 7 years ago when I was 26.
Things have changed dramatically on the forum (Arin being made a mod made me feel old!), the new owners, etc etc.
When I joined I was driving a 2000 V6 Vert, we were all talking about the fabled S197 whilst driving Fox's or SN95's. Now we are looking at the second facelift of the 2005.
Soooooo....... What has happened since you joined? Here is mine.
We had our first son in Oct '05, promptly followed by me getting rid of my Mustang (couldn't fit my wife in the front, and an infant car seat in the rear at the same time. After a lot of soul searching, I decided to lose the car rather than my wife, but it was a close run thing.....)
I immediately jumped into Jeeps, had a Cherokee then a Grand. Plenty big enough for a wife AND a kid.
I have moved jobs 4 times since then, got qualified as a bean counter, and have ended up working for the same company as I was in when I joined this forum, albeit in a completely different division! (The said company is a Fortune 100 company, and gives me the very real option of moving to the States. This has been an aim for the last 10 years in Casa Jgsmuzzy)
December 2010 came and delivered my second son in 3ft of snow. I know some of you see that amount of snow as normal in Winter, but here it is not normal, and we have had two winters in a row with it!
So, as an upshot, since May 2004, I now have 2 sons, have changed jobs 4 times in a circle, and now drive a Bimmer.
Let me know your stories, especially from the long term members that have were here before Scothew started throwing his weight around!
Also, if anyone has any of Blip's "Coney" cartoons on their HD, please post them up as I found this last week, and it made me chuckle!

Scott, please do.
I think there are going to be some interesting stories.
We were young back then, with responsibility levels way lower than today, would be good to know your story, and everyone else's!

I'm coming up on 4 years myself.
I've seen Arin and Tom become mods.
I had another kid. 6 kids now.
Bought 2 more Mustangs. A Bronco. A Raptor. And a SHO. Still have all of them.
Still at same job. Still live in same city. But made a crap load of friends here on TMS.

Hm. Lemme see... says 2/2/04, so... Oh, and not in order, just as I came across them in my mind.
I've been carjacked... lost the Mark VIII (good. hated that car.)
Changed jobs twice.
Gained two nephews and a niece.
Finally got the Mustang I wanted.
Went to Quakecon 2004.
Sold the condo.
Started and continuing to play City of Heroes. Love that dang game.
Re-learned to ride a motorcycle, but not before I plonked it down and busted my chin open. Still riding it, and I've gotten a lot better... but nobody's perfect. Ever.
Lost an Aunt.
Been *really* sick a few times. Internal issues. Once was in Hot Springs, and I *had* to ride the motorcycle home. After no sleep and a hell of a night in the bathroom. Made it too.
Traveled something like 4.444 Billion miles inside our Solar System.
Got older by 7.5 years, but I'm still 25 in the head.
Most recently, started shaving my head.
Got rid of, seriously, a standard truck bed's worth of books, and they all went to the Public Library. Fully 1/2 of them were Star Trek first print novels (all of them, all series, every single paperback, hardcover, and specials, until about April 2005), the other half were various science, astronomy, airplane (civil and military), and other interesting oddity books. I hope a buncha someones enjoys them all. I did, I read *every one* of them. Did save a very few though.
'Bout it, really. Nothing too exciting.
