What I don't understand is how people that enter into the country illegally are given the right to receive welfare. Speaking of welfare, I am sure it is the same in the US as it is in Canada. I am so tired of seeing a single mom walk into the bank on thursday with 4 kids, pregnant, talking on a cell phone, to cash her welfare check. Just so she can go to the beer store. I even heard one girl say "I can't wait to have another kid so I get more money from welfare". The system is broken but nobody seems to want to fix it. Some people do need welfare but most abuse it.

As for illegal aliens, stay out of my way and you better believe that if you smash into my car on the street I am not going to let you *** get away cause I know you will play the whole "I don't have insurance so sorry, you have to pay for the damage". You decided to come to this country but want us to play by your rules, religion, etc. Sorry, I refuse and I will not bend to "politically correct" crap.

Step 1. Build the border walls. On both sides, north and south. Oh, and have a flotilla of 24hr a day naval vessels watching for the sneaky ones who try to swim or boat around the wall.

Step 0. Realize that is bloody expensive as hell too. It may be cheaper to leave it be.

So... leave the government OUT OF THE PROCESS. Except to do this:

Punish the consumer with hefty fines when a company is found to have illegal aliens in their employ.

What? You think it should be 'punish the company?' Well, I got news for you. There's pretty much not a company on this earth (unless it's killed by overage of fines that exceed it's possible payment) that doesn't pass on those fines to you, dear consumer.

Even the mighty Exxon, after being fined for the Valdez incident... didn't pay a dime of it. You and I did.

Only the end consumer pays anything a company is liable for. And then more, because not many companies operate for a break even/loss situation. Eventually, that is the outcome achieved: the consumer pays for it all.

So... Now that I've added that to the mix... what do we do?

1. Send a bill to Mexico for every Mexican Citizen who is lodged in a US prison/jail.
2. When registering for the school year in the US , if parents cannot provide proof of US citizenship/legal residency, charge them a non-resident surcharge for each child they enroll.
3. Welfare recipents must provide US citizenship/legal residency or no benefits.
4. Change the law that makes the children of illegal aliens automatically citizens of the US. Make it so that the child inherits the same citizenship as the parents.
5. Give businesses an incentive to hire US citizens/legal residents. Add a tax penalty for each illegal alien a business employs.

 

I agree with this but add the provision that if a child is born here and the parents are here LEGALLY, give the child, at the age of 18, the option of 4 years military service and automatic citizenship (this would also apply to ROTC and a minimum 4 year commitment as a commissioned officer). Citizenship would be automatic after the 4 hitch or if the person was medically discharged/ RIFed.

 

I like this idea. We did this with the Irish in the 19th century. Join the army, get citizenship.

Believe it or not this is not really a Right/Left issue. I'm with all you guys on this one. No way in hell we should give welfare benefits to illegals. If someone walks bleeding into a hospital they should be treated, but if you want unemployment benefits or any other gov't benefits, go back where you came from or else go through the citizenship process.
