I forgot about driving a tractor when I was young probabaly when i was 9. I also forgot about drivers ed cars, one was a taurus and one was an altima.

I didn't fail my drivers test ever. you were allowed to lose 45 points or something and I lost 12. There was one part of the test were you go down a hill and the speed limit is 50 (km) and I was thinking the whole time "ok keep it below 50 for the next five minutes and you can go as fast as you want for the rest of your life."

2000 Ford Excursion. Naturally anything I drive smaller than a Crown Vic just feels downright tiny to me (yes, even Mustangs). I am growing very fond of my Explorer though. It's size is growing on me. However, I LOVE the 5.4 in the Excursion (it just sounds SOOO good). And she pulls. I miss her.

I learned to drive stick in a Mazda RX-8 on Thanksgiving Day in the Publix parking lot two years ago, poor RX !!!!! It took a while and I stalled dozens of times, but I got the hang of it eventually. The only other manual transmission cars I've driven to this date is the New 911 Carrera and the :drive: Mustang GT!!!!!
Not a half bad at 18 years old!!!!

'79 Toyota Celica..........I used to jump railroad tracks in it till my little brother ratted me out. He was like 6 or 7 at the time. He was in the car with my dad and as they approached a track he said to my dad...........Speed up and jump it. When my dad ask him why he said that, good ole baby bro spilled it on me. My dad took my keys and made me ride a bike to school for a week.

gotta "love" Europe:
I learned in my dad's old '83 Renault 20 (2.2l, 145 HP, auto) when I was 15 (legal driving age: 18).
Took "official" lessons" in a Dacia 1310 (1.3l, 55 HP, manual), passed the exam on the same.

well i ripped out my headlight/cornerlight and put a little bend in the bumper of the truck that was next to me (luckily it my my friends truck) *i never told her it was me...* heh

that was almost 2 years ago and i still have my headlight/cornerlight firmly duct taped on

learned to driving fundamentals (gas/brake/clutch) on dirt bikes and ATV's. From there, learned road stuff in a 89 chevy full size 4x4. Also learned to drive in 89 honda accord hatchback 5-speed. Took drivers test in 95 saturn sl2 5-speed. Dad wouldnt let me get my license unless it was done with a 5-speed.

I learned on a 1976 Gran Torino. On my 16th birthday my dads best friend took me over to the car and gave me a card that read:

Here's five dollars for some gas and a little something else for a piece of... Opps better not go there lol.

Can you guess what the card contained??? I knew you could...

1949 Dodge w/3 speed on the column. It was a money pit. My father came up with the bright idea of restoring it and cancelled an order he had for a brand new two tone 1956 Ford Victoria with a V8.

It was called the Red Devil and would break constantly. I was 6 and would sit on my father's lap, do the steering and shifting while he engaged the pedals. At age 8 I drove it by myself and a policeman once followed me home and thought there was no driver in the car. He was amazed when I proudly handed him my "driver's license" which I had been awarded at a go kart road course. It was my first and last time I got off with a warning.

And so did my father.
