OK, so we've been discussing who to play Bullitt in the remake, but what about McQ? The renegade Seattle detective with the Trans Am played by John Wayne in '73 (methinks)?
Who would be the best actor to reprise that role? And what should he drive, since Pontiac no longer has Firebirds, let alone Trans Ams?

Not at all. I saw it when it first came out. I just don't have any great ideas for casting. Sean Connery is getting a little long in the tooth and Pierce Brosnan is too smooth, although I really like him. I'm just stumped for suggestions.

Ok.. this is a movie I have to watch...
Intersting stuff... Dirty Harry was originally supposed to be set in Seattle and offered to McQueen. When Eastwood took the movie he insisted it be set in San Fransisico
