Welfare Joke
A guy walks into the local welfare office, marches straight up to
the counter and says, "Hi. You know, I just HATE drawing welfare. Getting free money like this, I feel guilty! I'd really rather have a job."
The social worker behind the counter says, "Your timing is excellent. We just got a job opening from a very wealthy old man who wants a chauffeur/bodyguard for his nymphomaniac daughter.
You'll have to drive around in his Mercedes, but he'll supply all of your clothes. Because of the long hours, meals will be provided. You'll be expected to escort her on her overseas holiday trips. You will have to satisfy her sexual urges. You'll have a two-bedroom apartment above the garage. The starting salary is 200,000 a year."
The guy says, "YOU MUST BE JOKING!"
The social worker says, "Yeah, well, you started it."
Not really funny. I have friends who have had to, at times, draw welfare (including my own family) and despite what you're told, most DO want to go back to work. Unfortunately the truth in our country is it's hard to make money unless you already have it.

Good one Lynell!!!
Yea, there are many people who need this service for certain reasons that are legit, but unfortunately there are many who abuse it to no end. Some will go as far as to have more kids just to draw more money for them. It's sad, and people like that give welfare a bad reputation for those who really need it. My mom needed it briefly before I was born, her 1st husband ran out on her and she was left with all the bills and raising my 2 sisters.
