Remember '2001: A Space Odyssey' and that PanAm spaceplane? Well, Virgin Airlines has taken that image closer to reality. Richard Branson has licensed Scaled Composites' technology to start Virgin Galactic. The first flights are planned to happen in 2 to 3 years

 

At $206k, you'd have to be a millionnaire!! Still a few more years to go before "affordable" space travel

 

Well it's a start. Where one goes, other will follow....

I'm waiting for the real trips though, but these "spacejumps" are probably a lot of fun too.
