Videogames
#1
Is anyone else like me? Does videogames occupy just about ALL of your time? The only time I am not playing a game is when I am out partying, in class, or on this site.
If you are, or you just like to discuss videogames well then this is the thread for you.
In this thread, let us discuss any game (past, present, or future) that you want to talk about.
If you have any questions about up and coming videogames, I may be able to answer most questions.
I study computer science in school and when I graduate, I plan on working for a huge videogame company where I will be contributing a lot to the production of the world’s greatest games. Just a dream of mine.

Double Dribble is the best basketball game of all time.
I wish Need for Speed would do a NFS: Classic American Muscle and feature lots of old Mustangs, Camaros, Corvettes, Superbees, GTOs, etc. That would rock.

I'm currently addicted to Command & Conquer:Generals and its expansion Zero Hour.
And NES games, it was Kings of the Beach for me! Always got my butt kicked in Double Dribble.

Like the announcer's muffled "Double Dribble"? "3RT Quarter"? "Travelling"? The 3-pointer sound effects?

As soon as you said "double dribble", all those images and sounds popped back into my head.

Look what I found:
Double Dribble screenshots
I loved the way announcer's voice was so messed up. "Dubble Dwibble" and I think I remember it saying "Ishwell", but I can't remember what that meant. Maybe "Pushing"?

I'm not waiting for Halo 2. Halo 1 was the same as many, many other FPS games I played on PC years before. I played Bungie's original games (the Marathon series) which is why I found Halo to be a near complete rehash. I probably will not buy Halo 2. Half-Life 2 and Doom 3, however

but halo 2 will be just as good (if not better than) those two games.
these three games IMO have a chance to be three of the greatest games EVER

I love the Mechwarrior games (die freebirth scum!)
And I'd hate to admit, but I have an Xbox in my car, and yes I have played various car-oriented (Midnight club, Gotham Racing) games in it (but not while driving, watching 'Bullitt' on the other hand...)
Oh, and XIII is good stuff too, Adam West and David Duchovny in one place for your listening pleasure
And can't forget Space Invaders

I agree Halo 2 will be highly rated, however it just doesn't have the ability to offer as many new things as Doom 3 and HL2 are offering. Halo 2 looks to simply be more of the same Halo (same old Master Chief, now with dual wield and can blow up the warthog), while Doom 3 and HL2 are both trying genre-bending modes and options. Not to mention the graphics and gameplay of both are said to be far superior.
