fasle...I wish I didn't, but here you go;
after getting pulled over on the highway, a town cop (not a state trooper, which was odd) came to my door. He took my registration, ID, etc. and then shined his flashlight and looked at my inspections sticker on my windshield (which is expired). He asked me what I was doing, and I told him I just got the car back from the shop I took it to, which was kind of true and that I was taking a drive with my grirlfriend (even though the girl in my passenger seat was not). Luckily, I remembered I had my sheet from the dyno run, my receipt for work done and other pertinent information and handed it to him (didn't know if I had shot myself in the foot at that point or not). After looking at it he said 'ok,' and went back to his car. I then proceeded to go through my head and make a mental note to deposit money in my checking account the next day to pay for the ticket(s) I was expecting to receive. After about fifteen minutes he walked to the front of my car, wrote down the ID number on my expired inspection sticker (no surprise). He then walked back to my window, gave me my stuff back, and then handed me a five day tag for the inspection sticker, and decided not to fine me $85 for an expired inspection tag. He then said that he looked at my record and saw it was clean, and handed me a written warning for going 90mph in a 55mph zone (no lie, I was in shock)...He then asked if there was something wrong with my exhaust pipe (I have mac headers, x pipe and pypes violator mufflers...no cats)...I politely replied that I was not aware of any problems with my exhaust, but that I would get it looked at. He then stated he did not give me a ticket because, unlike the Jetta, I pulled over and realized my mistake, and didn't just try to drive away. He then said to slow down and get my muffler looked at, and walked back to his car and drove off.
I will be honest, I was in utter shock....this was the nicest police officer I have ever or ever will come into contact with and I told him that and thanked him. I did not expect the outcome I had gotten.
The odd thing about all of this is that I hadn't really driven my car at all on the road since July, and I got it back the day before after getting it tuned and having other work done to it.
TPBM Thinks my story was too drawn out.

True - the officer just may ask him out one day, actually sometimes that would be a better way to learn rather than a ticket , a ticket makes you more bitter ticked off etc, where as wa warning makes you refleck on it more so !
TPBM - has got to have a bath/shower before they pass out !
