Trip to New York

I went to New York a week ago... it was awesome!
I went with my girlfriend

We were able to fit a lot in the 5 days we were there, although I wish we were there longer
We attended Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, a Yankee game, our hotel was right in the middle of Times Square so we walked through there a lot, we walked through Central Park, we went to the Brooklyn Museum, we went to the Rockefeller Center and saw Al Roker lol, went to the Nintendo World Store, stood in line for a good hour for Conan O'Brien stand by tickets only to go later on and be cut from attending, we went to the World Trade Center site, Greenwich Village, Chinatown, and watched Grindhouse (it was awesome lol).

The bad: It is expensive and it is darn cold!

What we still needed to do: go to more musicals, visit a lot more Musuems (the Guggenheim, the Metro, MoMA!!! I was a bit mad we didnt have the time to see them), Attend a Conan and Letterman show, and eat at the Burger Joint.

Pics once my girlfriend gets them developed and a CD of them... she lives a ways away, so it might be a while

I am glad you enjoyed my fine city.

If you come back, send me a PM, I know every good restaraunt in town and would be more than happy to get some TMS'ers into the good ones.

Awesome!
We didn't do a good job choosing restaurants when we went.
How are you able to afford living there?

It is tough making the money work, but the big differance is that jobs do pay more in NYC because of the high cost of living. I read recently that the average job salary is 41% higher in New York City than anywhere else.
That is why so many people work in Manhattan and live in New Jersey/Conneticut/Long Island. You can make the cash, but not have the high cost of living.

all that... and I am still only 21 so my parents help a lot!

Yep.... NYC is a great city.
Many of us here call it home.
Glad you enjoyed the Big Apple!
