How do you like carpet for stairs? Any slippage? I would think that would be safer than hardwood. Trying to figure out for the stairs to my loft.

I went went solid oak and about 5 coats of urethane. A fresh pair of socks can and probably will put you on your ***. Should have just stained them and been done with it.

My laundry room is up stairs and the sears guys didnt have a problem with the carpet. I like the carpet alot. Its going to be a pain to steam clean. I like the look of hard wood stairs but I would agree that they are a slip and fall risk.
