Test Drive Unlimited 2 Ford car list

Ford
2005 Ford GT
1968 Ford Mustang Fastback
2011 Ford Mustang GT
2010 Shelby GT500

Now this is not a sim racer type game more of a sort of race collect money buy stuff.. rather than a true racer but if may be worth a rental just to see how the 2011 GT was done up in the game. At least it getting some game time

I liked the first one, and I still play online sometimes. But, like has been said, it isn't a real race sim type of game, and I don't think I would call it a need for speed kind of game, but closer to that.

Anyway, I have had it pre-ordered at GameStop for months.

i played the original on PS2. it was fun to an extent. i hated not being able to switch to drive a manual transmission. my favorite part was how you could option out your car when you buy it. any color, any wheel, any interior color...i liked that. this 2nd one id like to try out just because the 5.0 is supposedly in it.

First game was alright... Second game (the beta) felt the same... There's more of a "free" world... but the game physics are still the same, except the graphics are better...

I got kinda bored; but I'll probably still pick this up for x360

So I have been playing the XBox360 version, here are the ford cars:

2010 Mustang GT

1968 Mustang Fastback 302 Cruise-O-Matic

2005 Ford GT

That's it.

They put in a 2010 Mustang, and that's only one of the problems with that; it is an automatic, so you don't get any shift animation in cockpit view. Also, you can actually use turn signals in TDU2, and no sequentials on the 2010. They had another problem, but it is fixed now. They only had one interior color available, labeled as dark charcoal, but it was stone. Now they have both.

I also have a problem with the '68. It is a Cruise-O-Matic, so it has a three speed auto, and tops out at ~118 mph. And I believe the 302 was new in '68, but wouldn't the 390 would have been a better choice in a racing game? Still, it didn't stop me from painting it Dark Highland Green.

There is also a Shelby Daytona Coupe, and what they call an AC 427, which has Shelby badges. I know that Shelby Cobras were based on AC 289's, but they are actually the classic style circular Shelby logos on the steering wheel and front of the car.

Also, there are no Shelby Mustangs. at least TDU1 had a '67 GT500...

Anyway, enough ranting from me, (I think this was my longest post ever.) I am still playing the game, even though they had some major bugs in the first week or so, my XBox Live Gamertag is the same as my user name here if anyone wants to look me up. I am usually cruising in the '68.

even they put in the 2010+ whereas the makers of GT5 gave us the old dated S197...its nice dont get me wrong but when the direct compeition is also in the game in its NEWEST and LATEST version....it makes the S917 look more dated. IMO

tell me about it. Mustangs get no love in video games. Precisely why I've been less than enthusiastic about the lastest crop. Even though they're pretty good games

I was driving around in the 2010 and I realized something else. The 2010 Mustang GT has a single exhaust system.

Seriously? It's like they weren't even trying.
