Superman Returns

All the latest news here.

My favorite part of the article:

The IMAX 3D Experience
Journalists in attendance at the sneak screening were also treated to a preview of Superman Returns' extraordinary IMAX sequences rendered in 3D. From all reports, the scenes - particularly the plane rescue - are nothing short of astonishing, and destined to leave audiences blown away. Film writer Jeffrey Wells, of Hollywood Elsewhere, gives an emphatic endorsement of the 20 minutes of Superman Returns that will be shown in IMAX 3D: "There's an airborne action sequence in particular that delivered, for me, the greatest sensory thrill I've ever experienced from a mainstream movie in my life. There's no question that anyone within reach of an IMAX presentation of this film HAS TO SEE IT THIS WAY."

My feeling is that it will be VERY cool. 90% of the critics out there are in love with this film. Ask yourself how often THAT happens...

Lucky I don't get much time for news I've only heard that it starts here this Wed June 28 as long as I find time to see it , Kevin Spacey should be a great villan , followed some of his stuff and he fits the bill for a nut job !

I hope it is as good as everyone keeps saying. I can't stand when they try to make a new movie with the old concept it put it way over the top. So far the things I've heard about Superman are all good.

I've been in the movie theatre business a long time. One thing I've learned is to never trust a critic. I've seen plenty of movies they loved and I hated and some they've hated and I liked. You need to be your own judge.

Some of us are meeting at 3pm central on Saturday, July 1, at the Opry Mills IMAX in Nashville, Tenn. PSH won't make the trip, but you're welcome to join us. Keep an eye on the Southeast section of the forums.

That's so true. But when you get a 90% concenus one way or the other from them, you can usually trust that.

Definately not one of my favortite movies.
Just seemed to drag on, too romantic, not enough action, surprise, or suspense.
I'd give it three stars based solely on the fact that I liked the concept.

A good film, but not a great one. Lacks the magic of Donner's original. And while Routh wasn't bad, he doesn't have the charisma, humor or acting nuances of Christopher Reeve.

But the airplane sequence is very cool. Gonna go see it again this weekend in IMAX 3D - see if it lives up to the hype.
