To be replaced by Tim Cook, most likely. Cook has filled in for him on his past medical leaves. i suppose this means his health is getting dire, but it's still a bit of a surprise, considering the next iPhone announcement is likely to be in the next few weeks. He must be in rough shape to miss that.

 

Steve is a business legend and has revolutionized the wireless industry he will be missed.

 

He is now the chairman of the board of directors for apple.

He has had so many health issues over the past couple of years. Hopefully he can make it through this battle as well. If it wasn't for the products he designed I'd still be stuck using crappy Microsoft junk.
