What do you guys/gals think/ have heard?
I've heard a lot of rumors about the upcoming villains in the new Spider Man movie...
Sandman is a for sure thing. Thomas Hayden Church makes a perfect Sandman




Now to the questions: Topher Grace is said to come out in SP3. One quote supposedly coming from Kirsten Dunst is that Grace will play Venom?! Which is kinda odd seeing that Eddie Brock (Venom) came out in part 2. She might just not know the difference between Venom and Carnage. Carnage would be a better fit for Grace, but I think the timing is wrong for his appearence. You need to have Spiderman with the black suit (the symbiote [sp]) for a whole movie (SP4?)... have him lose it at the end, the symbiote crawls into a church where Eddie Brock is contemplating suicide, then have them unite, and oila, you have Venom at the end of 4... then get into the whole Venom/Carnage/Symbiote story line for 5
There are 6 spiderman movies set
If I was the director, I would have Topher Grace play Electro (perfect fit imo)

James Franco is supposed to come back also (Green Goblins son)... so I would want him to be Green Goblon II (like in the comics), and not hobglobin like it is rumored.

yeah i heard Topher Grace as Venom too. In Spiderman 2 they never show Eddie Brock. So he could look like anything. Topher doesn't really fit Eddie Brock from the comics but i ahve confidence in the film makers that it would turn out pretty good.

I had the same doubts when they cast Tobey for Spiderman 1.

 

Topher is bulking up, but he can never get into Venom size.
The film makers have done a bang up job so far (except gor green goblins suit )
My brother had big time doubts about Toby also, I was pretty positive about him because Peter Parker is kinda dorky.

 

Maybe the Symbiote suit is what makes him so big...

 

Its Electro, has to be (well, doesn't, but listen to me anyway :P )

Raimi has always said he didn't like Venom as a character.

Me, I like 'em both, but glad Sandman is a lock. He was always one of my favorite baddies.

I also like Sandman and Electro. Frankly, I can't think of a SP villain I don't like. Most of them have pretty good stories/substance

 

I hope the real villian is Venom...i've been wanting Venom since S-M 1.

 

I hope they do have Venom in one of the movies... but the timing aint right yet imo. (well, for me it aint :P )

tey could do the symbiote mating with brock as a flashback. Or an abrivated opening. Or maybe just have Venom there and then for a 4th flic show the origins on venom.
Or just say the heck with it and not follow that exact story.

It's a strange coincidence that you mentioned Bruce Campbell since I just ordered his memoir, "If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor".

 

Its kind of hard to picture same guy who played Eric Foreman in That's 70s show to play villain.

 

Perhaps because of the director?

 

And the fact that Bruce Campbell had bit parts in both Spiderman movies?
