Mississippi has 159 specialty license plates. The plates range from Amateur Radio Operator to Barbers to Realtors to Freemasons to Nascar drivers, etc. But there is not one for Education. I have seen tags from other states benefiting Education. I just e-mailed my State Representive, who happens to be the Chairman of one of the Education Commitees, to see what it would take to get a tag for Teachers/Education. My question to the people on this forum is this: Does your state have a tag benefiting Education? BTW............my wife is a teacher.

Yes- ours are called helping schools-and that is what it says on the plate.
I think the school of your choice gets $15.
The only problem is the tags are kinda fugly -apples and rulers and chalkboards etc.

Ditto for both of them. I remember the Bama education tags, and they are not the nicest by far. I have also seen some in GA and TX ... and now SC so they are definitely out there.
I am really surprised Mississippi does not have one. They have one of the lower education levels and I have read they are always trying to get/beg for more money to update/upgrade schools and teaching material. Educating the future generation should never come to that...
