Since Milstang is interested in my camera
I took this out of my office window. No lights on in the office, camera sitting on top of a computer facing out the window. This was with my Nikon D50, ISO 200, 30second exposure and the lowest f-stop i could get it at. I also had a uv filter on and circular polarizer filter. The pic I took came out really well. The pic was very clear for it being a dark and stormy night. The polarizer kept the tinted glass a minimal objet as possible and if it wasnt dirty and wet, i think it wouldnt have shown at all.
We also did this same settings and pic on rtgreen's D70s with the 18-70 lens. His doesnt have any filters and the picture came out very very dark and not nearly as clear. The filters make a camera I think.

it is "still there"
Its just hidden by that stupid merry go round and the potted plants around it. guess they figure making a buck a pop is better than scenery.
But what with Patton Creek and the Colonial Sprawlmart plaza up the road- there is not so much reason to go INTO the mall anymore.
Do you ever use your vantage point to scout for cops on 459 before you go home? I would- but I wouldn't have the ***** to actually go into the tower- the elevator is a guaranteed instant panic attack.

I would, but I go 459S so I cant see much past the fly over. Besides, if you dont speed its not a problem [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif[/img]
Hoover is notorious for sitting at the top of the hill heading southbound just past the Hwy 150 exit. They pop people going both directions right there all the time. Tip: set cruise on 70.
If you went up in the tower elevators, you couldnt see much because you couldnt go on any of the floors. All passcoded doors to each office level. You could get a good view of hoover from the front glass elevators though at the 17th floor. I've done it. Maybe i'll do it one day and take the camera.

Riverchase parkway, 31 between 65 and 459,Lorna and Valleydale are infested.
Its second only to the cop nest 65 has become between my house and pelham.
And 31 from Calera to Alabaster- yeech.
To see Hoover from above, means I would have to go above my two story comfort zone- Couldn't do it for a new mustang. Even the glass elevator from the food court to the office platform freaks me out. Closest I get to the elevator is the starbucks next to the bottom.
