Scotchy, scotch, scotch...
I love scotch!
Had my local liquor store get this for me after seeing my friend post pics on her FB page. Not that I'll even drink it (it is real scotch) it's more for the novelty of it!

Which one did you like more?
If you like the lighter tasting ones you should try Bowmore. It's very smooth and has a more subtle flavor. Very drinkable.
If you like a more stout, proper scotch definitely give the Glenfiddich a try. It's one of the best Islay scotches out there. Their 12, 15, and 18 year scotches all have their own distinctive flavor, so try all 3 if you get a chance. Beyond 18 years you've got to love scotch a whole lot more than me to want to drink it.
And at this point I'm wanting to use words like "flavour" and talk about peat moss bogs and the way the east wind blows up from the coast...
I happen to work with a couple of Scots.

Some people don't like Lag, because it is a lot of smoke.

Try some Hennigans.
Quite right. Shows I'm not a huge scotch fan, doesn't it?
Give Bunnahabhain a try. They've got a nice smoke flavor to them and have recently stopped doing cold filtration and stopped using carmel additives which helps preserve the intended flavors. And they produce in 92 proof instead of the standard 80 proof, so their is less dilution of the whisky after aging.

When I want some strength I go with the 12 year Lag, it is cask strength, and a smokey beast at that.
