Don't get me wrong, I like Steel Coasters and the speeds/forces they can obtain. But when I ride a Coaster, I want to feel like I just got into a fight with a bear. Wood is where its at!

The Beast - Kings Island. Best coaster in the world by far!

very rarely will I get on a coaster. Its not that I am afraid of heights or the g-forces, its more of the thought that I have no control over it. Give me a car, boat, or plane anyday. At least then I know I have a chance of saving my **** if something fails.

Although the one Nathan posted just looks sickening

Boomerang http://www.knotts.com/park/tour/brdwalk/index.shtml
Ghost Rider: http://www.knotts.com/park/tour/gtown/grfacts.shtml

Montezooma's Revenge http://www.knotts.com/park/tour/fvillage/

I havent gone to a theme park (other than Universal Studios) in about 8 years.
Splash Mountain is the scarriest ride imo because there isnt anything that holds you down for that long drop!!! all you have is the bars on the sides to hold on to. There are no harnesses or bars that come down to keep you from falling... just those wet, slippery bars on the sides and the G forces pushing you back. It's horrible

It's the best one imo... roller coasters got me bored at a young age, thats why i stopped going to most theme parks(except Universal Studios). The only ones i like now are the ones with a story to it. that's why i like Universal the best... each ride has a story and a reason to get on the ride (you become part of the story), not just to sit down and feel the g's.

Love Jurassic Park because it's supposed to be a normal ride through Dinasour history, but we get knocked off course a bit, and we steer through an area that has been overrun by escaped dinasours. And the mayhem ensues! awesome! lol

BUT! Universal is getting old and rusty, they need to renew most of their rides and make them look like new. It's starting to look sad and horrible there.

Universal Orlando too..Its getting OLD.
I went back in December, Had always been curious about the back to the future ride. Due to needing SEVERE rehabbing, Now I know how it works. Ruined it forever for me. The twister ride also needs some rehabbing.

SFOG is a little bit ghetto-ish, but still fun to go to.

We have one called Alabama Adventure everyone is too scared to go to- I wouldn't venture there if I had free tickets.

IOA now------ Theme park perfection.

Our Six Flags is most likely going to be sold to a real estate company, be torn down, and have houses built on it... kinda sad.

Nows the time to say: I am pissed Miracle Strip in PCB got turned into Condos! For that reason I moved my summer vacation Spot FROM there. Starliner was great!

Going with NON roller coaster Rides: I like Spiders, parachute rides, Tiltawhirls and spinny things like teacups too.

Once upon a time one million years ago before the west side of Birmingham was turned into a scary ghetto everyone is scared of the state Fairgrounds was completely cool. They had a corkscrew coaster(now gone), Permanent Rides.......And a parachute ride(really a spider with seats that didn't spin). The Fair was the place to go in October..... Real Rides, Real Exibits......Real Food........I miss it!
You could go to the fairgrounds whenever and ride the rides. My Grandmother worked for a supermarket and they used to rent it out every may- free food and rides all day. NOW if you like being alive, you don't go there.

Know what else I miss? Ghost town in the sky in Maggie Valley NC. That one was very cool too.

So here are the few I've hit so far:

DragonMountain: http://www.marinelandcanada.com/attractions/rideagain/
Superman Ride of Steel : http://www.sixflags.com/parks/darien...des/index.html
Mind Eraser: http://www.sixflags.com/parks/darien...des/index.html
Predator: http://www.sixflags.com/parks/darien...des/index.html
Viper: http://www.sixflags.com/parks/darien...des/index.html
Boomerang: http://www.sixflags.com/parks/darien...des/index.html

Am I the only one from Bama old enough to remember when the Fairgrounds were cool, and you weren't scared of getting shot so you went there? And they had actual permanent rides and a corkscrew roller coaster?

Cedar Point has some wild ones as Cody can attest....
I was there opening day this year... and too bad like Kingda Ka that Top Thrill Dragster has a 'more down than up' record.... such an amazing ride (that I admit I chickened out on as I was hung over...)

It's just as much fun to watch as it is to ride, esepcially early in the morning when the track/fluid isn't hot, and it doesn't make it over the top and comes down backwards

Cedar point is THE roller coaster park-if you haven't been there, it is a must visit.
Also Kennywood in West Mifflin, Pa. The Thunderbolt rules!! (as do all wooden coasters!) It proves that you do not have to be large, fast and mean to be a great coaster!

Chippewa Lake Park (Just 15 minutes from where I work) is one-I do not know the other. We used to go there every year when I was a wee lad for United Airlines company picnics. Great memories!!
