RIP. Patrick!
Pancreatic cancer is probably the most painful way to go. only plus is that it is swift, I lost my aunt back in July, 6 weeks after being diagnosed. I'm really amazed he lasted 2 years, and yes Redpony, he was the ghost in ghost.

Patrick was not one of my favorite actors, but he was a great one and he will be missed! He seemed like a genuinely nice person too, and really appeared to fight the disease and try to live a normal life.
My aunt survived pancreatic cancer, only to die of lung cancer 8 years later. One of the - if not the most - kindest person I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. They suspect the radiation is what did it.

red pony: Yes, he was in Ghost, as Sam.
Interesting tidbit: He went to the same schools I did here in Houston, although some 17 years apart:
Oak Forest Elementary
Black Middle (nee Black Junior)
Waltrip High
I always thought that was kind of a neat little thing. Never got to meet him though, of course, he'd moved on to Hollywood and all that, and good on him. It's a shame, but at least his fight with cancer is over, and now he's at peace.
