Because, frankly, humans do not have any ability to live forever (that anyone knows of, anyway) so they pass on from this life.
It's a shame. Just like Robin. Just like so many others. And so many, including us who are still here today.
We don't know when we'll pass on from this life. We can just be aware of it, and live our life as best we can, because tomorrow could be the ticket punch.

I agree with you on the first part, I realize 'I' won't be there, but I'd kind of like to leave the corpse in good condition, hate for it to decompose. Just a quirk.

My sister in law is a huge neat freak. The idea of worms crawling through her gives her the heebeejeebees. Because of that she had my nephew cremated. And she wants the same for her. Personally is rather have a grave people can visit. Ash or worm food makes no difference to me.

may own it...But I really do not fear death. I truly fear not living (and I have a shirt that says just that). There's SO much I want to do and places to see. I absolutely HATE being cooped up in a fricken cubicle 12 hours a day, dealing with
that does not matter whatsoever...missing out on time with my son.

You'll fear death when it means not being able to provide for and be with your son. Honestly otherwise I don't care at all. But I can't did because my kids need me and it's what drives me to stay alive and be here for them and protect them of course.
