Lightbulb Remembering Sept. 11, 2001

As the 5th Anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001 approaches I wanted to show you all a picture I took last year of the "Tribute in Lights" at Ground Zero.
WE WILL NEVER FORGET! WE WILL ALWAYS REMAIN STRONG!

No words can express the feeling of loss of that day. I think FDR said it best on december 7,1941 when he said " A date which will live in infamy " when he was referring to the attack of the Japanese on Pearl Harbor. Before september 11, 2001, that was the last time America had been attacked on US soil. Just on that day in 1941 as on september 11 our country came together to help each other and help rebuild and secure our Country. May we never forget those who died that day. Especially those Firemen,Police, and emergency workers who climbed those towers that day knowing very well it might be there last. So let us not forget this day, not forget those who died, and not forget those who gave there lives helping others.

A sad day I will never forget, and as a Nation we must never forget. I work in downtown Washington DC and I will never forget the smoke billowing knowing the Pentagon had been attacked. I will never forget the phone call from my girlfriend in a panic watching people run out of the White House from where she worked. I will never forget the fighter jets roaring through the city, armed not a drill, ready for business. Occasionally I see and hear the fighters hauling when a plane enters restricted air space. And I especially will never forget when I heard the news a former co-worker and friend died in the Pentagon that day. It's important that we never forget and pray it never happens again. The are those out there that wish us death and destruction. September 11 should remind us all of that always. God bless The United States of America, the greatest country in the world !
