The main thing I remember about it was them pissing in the radiator of the truck.

I was pissed when I heard they were remaking this classic.. but after seeing the trainler I think they will not make a cheap copy.

 

Don't know what to think. I grew up with the first. That was back when I thought lea Thompson was hot though, so what do I know?

 

Gonna have to watch the first one.. :P but this one looks ok from the trailer.

Yep and not to delve to deeply into it, the only way I could see this happening is if there was some sort of Asian superblock forming and/or America adopts a more European stance on our military ( very heavily weighted toward social spending).

Moving such a large force by plane or ship would make for some easy targets even if say they crossed the Bering Straight

Or maybe if they ( I think in the new movie the invaders are north Koreans) had some sort of military agreement with countries in South America - unlikely though since we've made it pretty clear that the north west hemisphere is our sandbox.

Heh, Hollywood has a long proud tradition of recycling movies well before the 90's and new millennium.
