the old saying you dont what you miss till it`s gone applies to me .. i would not ever watch drag racing unless the Cuadra family was running in pro stock .. they had a couple of mustangs even though they were chevy powered .. they haven`t run much this year and are not at this event ..i miss all the car rebuild shows but they had quit being on even before i dropped cable TV .. i spend about 6 hours a day on Youtube now ..

i am the worlds worst man at not going to the DR till i was on my deathbed .. 40 years ago i had an overactive thyroid an suffered down to nearly half my normal weight till i went to a DR .. .. then i had an inflamed gall bladder and suffered with it for 2 years till a trip to the emergency room found it and got it fixed ( removed ),, it was as if i had swallowed a hot ball bearing every three days l.. i have had poor eyesight all my life but glasses corrected it . for ten years my eye dR told me i needed cataract surgery . this year my vision got extremely blurry and i finally set up the cataract appointment .. people i know who have had it done said it was no big deal .. i could not imagine cutting into your eyeball and it not be painful ,, i just had one eye done 2 hours ago and it is night and day how my vision has improved .. it was not the least bit painful and took only 10 minutes of me looking at a bright light .. took an hour of prep though .. what i have done thought is lost my near sight vision .. i am typing this looking 4 inches away from my screen .. they could have given me lenses to correct that for an additional 2 grand per eye .. i think reading glasses are cheaper ,, i will not need glasses anymore for normal viewing .. i am amazed at what i can already see with just one good eye ..dont fear cataract surgery if you are in need of it /..

a pair of 2.5 reader glasses from wallyworld has solved the up close vision problem .. i did not know that my eye surgery would correct my vision so that i would not need to wear glasses anymore .. i have worn glasses for 45 years ..it has i now have 20-15 vision in my right eye and cant wait for the left eye to be done .. it has created a small problem for me though .. i had no idea how filthy my home was .. i have always had a mold problem as my home is so tight there is never any fresh air circulating .. i recently bought a DE humidifier and in just over 60 minutes it will fill up and shut off .. i fight a constant battle as when i run my AC it fills my home with moisture and the humidifier needs to run constantly to remove it ..

a customer came up to me today at work .. the hardware store that is not Home Depo .. he hands me a bolt and says " i need 4 of these . i check them in the thread checker even though i knew what they were " 3/8ths 16 1 inch long .. i immediately look at them and say " motor mount bolts for a chevy engine ? .. he is stunned .. how would someone know what a bolt fits just by looking at them bolt .. i tell him my mechanics history and he tells me his grandfather is helping him put a 454 in a chevelle he recently purchased .. his grandfather was a local street racing hero from back in the 70`s and i recognize his name even though i never met him .. he is 85 years old now ... i tell him to ask his grandfather if he ever ran across the guy who built the V8 pinto`s back in the late 70`s ..

as i say i spend 5 or 6 hours a day on youtube and facebook watching videos .. these AI generated videos are something else .. i like the big foot ones .. and the Jesus Christ ones are great .. but some of the big foot ones have language that may not be suited for younger audiences .. the Paul Harvey rest of the story episodes are very plainly not real but still ok ..

with one good eye now i am very much surprised at how filthy my home and garage are .. i have already started on some of the inside of my house .. this morning i was sweeping out my garage and swept up a rattleheaded coppersnake that was hiding in the corner .. imagine my surprise .. although it was only 8 inches long .. HA ! .. i coaxed him outside and let him slither off into the neighbors paster .. i think it was a baby king snake or what we call a black racer .. i dont have a deathly fear of snakes and will not kill a non poisons one under any circumstance and will do everything to keep from killing poison ones ..actually it`s the first snake iv`e seen this year...

this commercial brought to you by the good folks at the Good Feet Store .. you are lucky if you have one in your neighborhood .. i have had painful feet for the past 8 years and have suffered with it long enuff .. i finally got my eyes fixed .. my next project was to get my feet fixed .. then make a will which i dont have .. then see a DR about my thryoid cause i cant get medicine online anymore .. i went to the good feet store recently .. they measured my feet .. they took a finger print of my feet and determined which training insoles i needed to correct my footprint .. there are three sets of training inserts that you get .. you wear them progressively more and more over a two week period .. the first week the first insole feels like you are stepping on golf ***** . the second insole is a little less unconvertable .. the third is the one you will end up using from then on .. if you have foot pain it is most likely from wearing ill fitting shoes for a long time ,, you must train your foot to accept proper fitting shoes again .. the problem is the price !!!! ,, they told me 7 out of 10 people leave the store when quoted the complete package .. i was shocked but paid the full bill cause it aint nuthin but money .. a little over 350 $ per insole .. thats 3 insoles .. 4 hundred $ for Correct fitting shoes .. a total of over 17 hundred $ to stop my feet from hurting .. i have been on the program for 5 days .. my feet are incredibly better .. i expect a full recovery in the near future .. .. you can go on living with foot pain or you can divy up a few bucks and walk pain free again .. i am a believer ..

That is a pretty Maverick. I know the owner of the Suburban next to it, he also has a couple of street rods. I'm with you on the rat-a-tat rods. I didn't go to this show, had to go meet with a customer and get him back in his Stang. Here's a couple we're working on.
