are we allowed to run vintage tags in bama ? .. I have a like new 69 tag for my stang and an equally good 73 tag for my pinto .. I think a person can do this ...

 

Check with your DMV/Tax office. In Georgia, we are allowed to run a year of manufacture plate on the car at no additional cost. We get a form signed and they link the vintage plate with the "modern" plate. We are required to keep the modern plate and the form in the car, along with registration. I believe the registration form still has the modern plate number on it.


I have the original plate that the first owner registered my 1965 Corvair with displayed on the car.

just now cruising my stang in upper new market i saw a monster of a snake crawling across the road .. i thought it to be a copperhead .. i quickly turned around and went back and found it to be a huge rattlesnake .. beautiful it was .. i can see why someone not knowing how deadly they are mite be tempted to get too close to one .. i dont carry a camera in my stang cause i never expect to stop ...it was about 5 feet long and as big around as a coke bottle with about 8 rings on its rattle tail ..

it`s been running all summer ..I quit drinking for a bit so it sat .. but I started back .. as LEE always says " quitting is for quitters " ... iv`e seen two things this week that I have never seen before in person .. while cruising up in new market mountains sunday in my stang I saw a huge snake crawling across the road .. I stopped to look at it and it was a monster rattlesnake .. I`ve never seen a live one .. it was beautiful and I was shaking scared standing close to it .. I don't keep a camera in the stang .. and I saw a black man riding a horse .. never seen that before .. I expect to see a Live armadillo or maybe a black bear soon ...

There are a lot of black cowboys in Texas. And live armadillos. Not sure we have any black bears, but I think they are on the rise in Louisiana so they may be headed here.

 

There's reports of mountain lions just north of you!

 

there supposedly are those in coalman mountain new market as well as black bears .. I would like to see one and a bobcat as well ...i have seen trail camera pictures of mountain lions in new market posted on facebook ..

 

I have seen bobcats around here. Much larger than I imagined

 

About 3 weeks ago I saw a coyote about 100 ft from the house. My brown lab/coyote was chasing it

after a 12 pack or two i usually get the munchies .. tonite it just hit me .. i just went to the new burger king in hazel green.. i drove the pinto .. when i walked in the door i spotted a fellow i had`nt seen in 10 years .. i said " i`m in your mama`s car " .. i`ll do you a burnout when i leave " .. he didn`t say anything .. just smiled ... when i left i left a lot of smoke in the drive thru .. he came out and said " this aint my mama`s car .. and it occurred to me ,, you aint Dickey are you .. he said " no " .. i`m jerry ... i still knew him .. he just looked a lot like Dickey ..
