PS4/Xbox 1 or Escort Max/Max2????? Help me Decide!!!

PS4 first. Wait for a while on the Xbox1. MS just fired the Xbox and windows 8 teams for putting out a crappy product that did not meet the streets expectations nor the consumer. MS is now contemplating selling Xbox. Sales are in the toilet. PS4 has sold 4 times the Xbox. Enough tech info. My kids and there friends have the PS4 I don't play them.
They also won't sell off the Xbox. It's purely a child of Microsoft software, and they're not going to give it to anyone else. Microsoft is the only company that can support it. Xbox has never been a big part of Microsoft, so sales are irrelevant.
See above...they're doing just fine.
Sony has been "going bankrupt in 2 years" for the last decade.

Ok I read a few reviews, and watched a few videos. It sounds like the PS4 is superior as far as graphics and performance. Ps4 also caught up with xbox online features. I really do enjoy some of the exclusives on ps3, like uncharted etc. But I wish Forza and ryse were on ps4

I'm just glad Sony fixed the controller. The dual shock that came with the PS3 was the biggest piece of shiz I've ever used. Who thought it was a good idea to have the thumb pads on the sticks be a convex slippery rubber material? And the triggers were godawful. I got to a point where I refused to play my roommates PS3 bc I hated the controller too much. New controller rocks!

Controller is good then? What else?

I played one my buddy bought a little bit ago. I'm not much of a gamer anymore. My 360 has been plugged in for a grand total of maybe an hour over the last year.

I used to play NCAA football like a maniac. I can't remember the last one I actually bought, but it's been a good ten years. Someone told me they aren't making that game anymore because of NCAA issues.

My wife's getting ready to buy the PS4 bundle with the white system and destiny today. Any other final opinions before she does so??? Why am I leaning ps4 thus far?
All reviews seem to point at:
Better graphics 1080p for most games vs 720p for xb1
Exclusive titles (so far) like uncharted, bloodborne, order 1886 (I love those vampire or werewolf type of games)
More of a "game" purpose console as opposed to a "multimedia" type console. I'm not a windows guy anymore, we are apple folks (Mac, pad, phone, etc)
Some reviews point out a better quality build vs xb1
There. Can anyone else convince me otherwise? I have one shot at this new system

Get whichever console suits your needs best. If it's graphics you want, then PS4 should be your choice (although, at this point/price, you should be looking into PC hardware instead of a console). If you play a lot of online multiplayer with friends, then you might want to consider what console they have also. Multiplayer is not cross-platform compatible, so maybe that's something to consider.

I'll throw in the point again. Kinect is what makes Xbox one even better. You'll have ten times more fun playing games using kinect on Xbox with your son than you can on ps4.
If you have a full time job and other things to keep you busy with your life, you aren't going to be putting a ton of gaming time in. This will just be a hobby, and when it comes down to it, you'll hardly be able to notice the difference in graphics anyways.

My wife is asking me what I want for my birthday/xmas, both in December. I will more than likely get both (LOL!!!) but the other probably not till January or Feb.
So...given that, what say you?
Some food for thought:
PS4/Xbox1, I can use during winter. My "love" for everything cars, be it detailing or actual modding is reduced to ZERO during the snow months. So I thought it would be a great idea to be able to play Forza or Need for Speed during those months to keep me going. LOL.
I currently have an Escort 9500ix which I use primarily on Marilyn. For my daily driver Acura, Tori uses an older Escort 8500 (the constant beeps for a non GPS unit drives me nuts). Since I don't drive Marilyn in Winter, I "could" make do by transferring the 9500ix temporarily to my Acura, which is easy enough. Then come spring if/when I get the Passport Max2, I could install that in Marilyn.
So anyways... what say you? The prices should be similar, around ~$600. The PS4/Xbox1 are 499, but add a couple games and controller, you're at 600 too.
hmmmmm I'm torn.

Thanks Sebastian and Sean for your input. Let me respond to each:
As to your comment about PC/PC hardware, as I stated above, I used to be a PC guy. Then we switched to the Apple platforms, and haven't looked back. We don't even own a desk PC anymore. I have an ASUS laptop that I still use occasionally and specifically for SCT Tuning for my Mustang. So given that, I will never use my PC/Mac for gaming. I strictly use consoles.
As to your comment about the living room entertainment, I thought about that too, and started thinking, would I "Really" use the voice commands, and the live streaming, and the netflix, etc. Then I realized, I don't really use NetFlix, nor do I "need" to have a powerful media box in my living room. We have Dish or DirectTV (we switch every 2 years), and the media box they have is powerful enough, with streaming and on demand, etc...
As far as graphics, all our TV's are 1080p. And so for the limited time I do "game", it would be nice to have the best graphics and the best performance during those short stints...
Ideally, I'd like BOTH the xb1 and the ps4. But even if I did, we all know I'll hardly have enough time to play one system, more so two.
Now the Kinect part I thought about too. What current games are there on Kinect that utilize this feature and IS fun to play with the whole family? Can you please name a few, Sean? I'm curious. I want to look it up.
When I play the PS3 on my own, I do enjoy those "Daddy only" games sometimes. Late at night. After a long day of work. So I don't mind if the PS4/XB1 is just "For me". We'll be getting the kids a WiiU also. I know it sucks, but for the kiddos, might be the best platform for them.
For me Xbox One is the clear choice (and I'll probably be picking one up this holiday season). I don't play a lot of games anymore and I don't care about graphics. At this price point, consoles are dead to me. I'm looking for a living room media center pc, which the Xbox One fits nicely. Voice commands make all the difference for me here.

Seriously though, have you guys seen the previews for Bloodborne and Order1886??? These games look Ahhhhh-mazing. Look at the lighting. Crank up the volume and listen to the environment and speech. Unbelievable. Esp 1886.

Well than knowing your getting a WiiU for the kids then, I'd probably get the PS4. The only reason that would make me get the XBox One, is because I can play online with a lot of my friends, and Forza.

Yeah, I've been out of the gaming world so long, I don't have any "friends" I play online with LOL... pathetic huh?
What'd you think of the trailers I posted above?

I will say, whatever console you buy, look into getting The Division. It's a Tom Clancy game that looks absolutely incredible. The lighting and effects are bar none. And can't be matched.
