Have to see the software lineup and pricedrop before I even consider one...

 

when i can afford one, ill probably get one. probably at least afore i head out for college

but the revolution is lookin mighty fine as well and heck, its going to be around half a PS3... soo...

 

when the price goes down, I'll ponder getting one... they better still have the Gran Turismo series

 

I currently own a PS2, and I can say in all honesty...

There will be a chilly netherworld before Sony gets another dime out of me for one of it's overhyped, unreliable consoles.

 

theres games at gamesstop if u wanna checkem out. I think like 20 or so.

 

Yea... Sony has a history of quality problems. The PS2 had some problems. We'll see if PS3 comes out with out a glitch

 

I'll probably get one when the hype dies down a few months after release. I'm just not that crazy about videogames where I have to have it the day it comes out anymore.

Im going to wait a couple months after it comes out. Just so all the problems get worked out. After hereing about all the problems the 360 had coming out, im definatly not going to buy another console on opening day.

I stood in line for six hours to get the first PS2.

It promptly broke several months later...

So I replaced it and have had no problems.

Mine is the original Clunky one.

So yes, we are saving our pennies and will be standing in line again..

Its like Ford Vs Chevy. You are either an Xbox or Sony Family.

(But I will always love Nintendo first)

 

Or you're like me and just hate video games all together.

Sorry, but I see them as mothing more than a collosal waste of time and money. GT4 on my friend's PS2 was fun, but I would get sick of it very quickly and have to do something else. Like read or work on a bike.

Or waste time on the internet!

 

no no no no no i don't beleive that at all. If you are a gamer, you game across all platforms. But you won't see me buying a gamecube :notnice: I don't like those

 

Yeah I don't think Sony and Microsoft is like Ford vs Chevy.

My brother and I play both of them and like different games for each.

I will get PS3 for one reason....Gran Turismo 5....

But i will wait for it to drop price.

 

My first PS2 never worked, it wouldnt spin the discs.. at all

returned next day and got a new one, worked great until recently. i bought this quite a few years ago, so i guess i can consider this all wear and tear

for some reason it has ALOT of trouble reading blue bottom discs.... why?!?! i never understood that...

and as of the last.. month or so it has trouble reading anything at all. you have to try over and over to get anything from a game to a movie to play on it. sometimes it only works upright, sometimes flat. its annoying.

but other than that there havent been any other problems. its never skipped or #@$%ed me over in the middle of a game. and i dont really blame it b/c its pretty old anyhow

but can anyone explain the blue disc thing? and why it doesnt work well... or at all sometimes?

 

I've had my PS2 for a couple years and it has never had problems at all.
