Philly auto show tid bits
Just wanted to post a few things about the show today. Sorry no picks. Place was packed. I went down too see the 12 Boss primarily to see if those wheels would grow on me or look better in person. The wheels just do not do the car justice. It was a C/O one with white stripes. I was really dissapointed with the way it looked. A plain kona with the california special wheels would have been way better but thats just me. The Boss was locked up tight because a display mustang got the hood damaged when someone tried to force the hood down with the prop still up and ruined the hood. Every where I looked kids were pawing, climbing on and just plain abusing the cars. It was terrible, I said something to one kid who was putting all his weight on the palms of his hands which were on the hood of a VTeck Honda trying to cave the hood in and all the while his mother is just standing there...unreal.
I was asking the Ford product specialist about the production numbers for the 12 Boss and they said 500. I am like how many for the regular boss and they said 250. I say what? So according to them we are only getting the 500, 250 regular Boss and 250 LS and a one year run. Its kinda like when a sales manager argued me up and down the 11 GT was getting the 6.2 when everyone else knew better.
On the Camaro front they had something very interesting. How about a 700+ HP supercharged 427 limited edition 1969 tribute with a production run of only 69!!
The price tag was 115,000. That car was gorgeous and most of them are already taken.
