Ive used 8 for awhile now and have no issues. Anything I did on the same hardware in 7 i do in 8 and typically it works better.

 

Yeah some things work better. Don't like the tiles at all.

 

8.1 that is coming out, it will let you configure it to where you autostart on the desktop

Hmm, actually I think been hearing about it since Win 8 came out lol, I don't have win 8 but I am considering getting a tablet or a smaller laptop with it. Might go look at some today....

 

I would look at the asus transformers line, it's a great tablet that basically turns into a laptop with the keyboard connected. Both the keyboard and tablet charge so battery life can be 18+ hours. Bought one for the old lady a while back and we are very pleased.

 

I run Windows 8, usually don't leave the desktop portion of it thou. Haven't run into any problems from the OS.

Sucks.... no announcement for pc gta5.... so I gave in and pre ordered for xbox... time for pregame nap...

 

Can't wait!! Get ready for a 6-8 hour system update for Xbox though..

 

Lol yeah I actually just thought about that as well, I'm pretty skeptical of the trailers being from current consoles. I remember how horrid gta 4 ran on 360. My guess is pc will drop with the new consoles' version's of gta 5.

 

How is gta guys? I watched some gameplay over lunch and it looks pretty sweet.

What games have y'all been playing recently? I've been playing some payday.

I'm jealous that GTAV isn't for PC and it won't be for a few months at least.

Any one playing it on an older console? My ps3 is from launch and I'm not sure if it would run it at well as it's suppose to.

 

I'd much rather have gta for pc but Xbox works for the moment. Very fun game. I don't believe there is any difference, spec wise, between the oldest or newest ps3 so I would assume it will run the same regardless. I did notice a nice gain after installing the play disc to my hard drive on 360. Still it's far from the 120 fps I'm used to but the story makes up for it and will hopefully hold me over till the bf4 beta.
