Okay, I admit it...

I bought the new Twilight movie, on Bluray, ultimate fan edition. I was one of those crazy people who read all four books in 10 days. I am now going to sit down and watch it.

Who else is brave enough to come out from hiding and say it!

I have seen both movies in theaters. Never read the books. That is all.

Besides, I stopped renewing my man card years ago.

I somehow knew you'd be posting in this thread...

Did Gary just compare my wife grilling to sitting through two Twilight movies?

That's just wrong.

I'll admit it, I bought the movie today too. Probably watch it later tonight.

I read all of the books because Arin told me too And Gary has 5 daughters so I'm sure there will be many movies that he doesn't want to see but will have to watch anyway.

I'm just getting my jabs in now while I can before my daughter starts getting into this stuff. Hopefully my tagging along won't be necessary.

Otherwise, my plan is to fake an illness whenever possible.

Considering what some of the 4th book entails(pregnancy and such), you may want to reconsider the fake illness. It'll be interesting to see how they work the final book into a movie, which is rumored to be split into two movies.

I just meant "this stuff" in general. Not Twilight per se. She's only five and couldn't care less about vampires. Not even sparkly shirtless ones.

Besides, when it comes to good judgement, the wife is much more suited to call the shots. I tend to get snarky when I'm in a theater, regardless of the movie. I can just see it now…

"Dad, why is that one girl trying to kill that other girl?"

"Because she's a *****, honey."

I'm disappointed. No deleted/extended scenes.

I admit to not watching the movies or reading any of the books. I will admit to watching these though:

It's just so slow and the screenplays could have been written by a fifth grader. I've never read the books, but the movies are so derivative. I mean come on already. Enough with the gloomy girl. Geez. Is this the way teenage girls really think?

BTW my 6 year old daughter loves this stuff. I have to take 4 of them to the movies. The 13 year old read the books, but is as bored with the movies as I am I think. But my 6 year old loves it. So far these movies have been very PG. I mean their mother and I have had more PG-13 moments in front of them than this. Plus they very well know the difference between real and fantasy.

My 2 youngest are team Jacob and my 2 oldest are team Edward.

I'm team gouging my eyes out with a spork.

Pretty much with every book-to-movie, the book is better. The Emo kids just make it into something we all love to laugh at.
