I hope he is just off-line getting some very good R&R and or family time. If not @05stangkc we hope you & yours are ok!

Not sure what the "That's all folks" profile picture is about?

I saw that profile image too, just like in the 'crickets' post in the regional section.

Glad you are back... Or still here. Just concerned when you went silent for a while there.

So we do miss you when you are not on here.

As An FYI for My Concerned Little Group Here!

I Don't Know if I Posted this Before or Had Simply Mentioned it to Some Other Members During Emails or PM's But The Wife & I Have Been Having Issues Getting Our Medications For Pain Management For Our Fybromyalgia. We Have Been Off and On getting Meds Which Seem to Have Little Effect One Month and Ok The Next. I Believe Quality Control is Nil. Anyhoo So When We get a Bad Month My Activity Goes In the Crapper! I Can't Think Straight and Spend a Lot of Time in Bed Sleeping. Well For the 3rd or Maybe 4th Time This Year I Think The Latest Batch we Got Friday is Garbage. We Both Get them on the Same Day which was Last Friday and We Went Downhill Quick. {In the Past I Had Leftover Good Pills} I would Take to Cross Check their Effect and Use as Needed to Be Able to Go Grocery Shopping & Appointments and Posting, but Now we Have Used Those All Up. So Anyway the Point Being My Posts Maybe Few if Any in the Near Future unless it's another Factor Causing the Extreme Pain Levels we can Figure Out. Otherwise We Hope for a Better Batch in the Future!

It Was A Real Challenge Trying to Post a Understandable Statement Here as My Body is Just Screaming in Pain as Well as My Head Pounding! For All I Know Maybe it's Not Understandable.

Anyhoo, Did not Want you To Think I Was Playing Hide & Seek! Who Knows May Figure Out Something So As I Said Just an FYI.

Mgb,

KC

KC,
I know what you are talking about. There seems to be little or no quality control on some of these meds. Wife is having the exact same issues with some of her maintenance meds. She will feel fantastic with a batch, then the next refill she can't figure out what is wrong with her. The Pharmacy is trying to help her by trying to keep her's filled with a specific provider. But even that does not seem to be consistant. Hope you get a provider that can meet some kind of quality standard to address the issues.

We did not think you were playing hide and seek, but figured there was a reason. We were hoping for the best, but still concerned for you. Hang in there. You are a guide and example for all of us!

I've seen it too with a family member KC. Was having the same thing. Finally got it straightened out mostly. Talked to the Dr and started using a small locally owned pharmacy, and got to know the pharmacist (owner) and he's pretty much been able to get the same manufacturer consistently that had always worked.

Good info. We may need to try that too.

Another thing that happened a few years ago was the one that had been working was no longer available from that maker, and the others didn't work. Pharmacist looked into it and found the maker still made it but not in that dose. Had the same thing in the next dose up.

Talked to the Dr and he talked to the pharmacist and put him on the higher dose but fewer count. Same dosage a day, just fewer doses. Worked out fine and started working again.

Might not be an option in y'all's situation but thought I'd put it out there for thought anyway.

Wow, never knew this was even a possibility with good and bad medicine in the same maker and brand. I guess I've been fortunate enough to be off meds but now as I'm getting older I'm starting down this road. Good to know ahead of time I guess.

I have seen what my wife goes through with her Fibromyalgia so I do know what you are going through with the pain and fog.
As for drugs, I have noticed different blood sugar results from one manufacturer to another on my Metformin. I wonder how much the FDA actually monitors all the manufacturers in the US let alone the drugs imported from everywhere else in the world.
Stay Strong my friend.
