It started close to 1:00am and the explosion was so strong that it was felt on municipalities all around it several miles away. Personally I was on my bed when I heard this loud sound followed by the bed shaking and the closed door rattled.
When I went outside, there was this huge cloud of yellowish colored smoke that could be seen on the horizon. The local authorities have gathered some info. from the people in the area and have come up with two theories; 1- that a line bursted, or 2- an airplane crashed on the site. Scary indeed.

A link on the news that Cody found about the fire http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,...est=latestnews

Thankfully, at least according to AP at this time, nobody was hurt. That's good news.
The bad news is that... well, oil prices might spike a little, and surely all that oil being burned can't be good for the air about PR...
Wow. Dang impressive lookin'... pretty scary.

21 of the 35 containers were burning as of yesterday, that's why it looks so bright on the last pic I took. This is from quite a distance, like 15+ miles.
They have managed to make it smaller at least. Hope they put it out sometime today. Firefighters from the U.S. have come to aid too, New Jersey and Florida to name some
The Consumer Affairs Department made a prize freeze on all fuels and derivatives since day one, so no unscrupulous douche bags take advantage of the situation.
