need "simple" plumbing help

my faucet is leaking from the cold water handle. i found an exploded illustration of how the handle is assembled. i removed the screw from underneath the lever handle but i still cannot take the handle apart. does anyone know anything about these things? i would really appreciate any help.

seems like it shouldn't be too hard, but i don't want to damage anything by trying to force a part off.

thanks people

Did you disassemble it any more than that? The other part of the handle seems to be held on by another screw (52545). You can only get to that screw from below, but there are multiple nuts and washers and such that you need to get through first. Looks to me like you will have to take it all apart, starting at 40005 and working your way up, until you get the screw. I'm sure you'll find the leaky peice somewhere along the way

If u fly me out I will fix it free ! yup like Arin said the small screws that hold the handle on (a small l wrench ) then take skirt off and unsrcew 77005/6 BUT MAKE SURE YOU TURN WATER OFF UNDER SINK FIRST then there is a small srew that holds the small most likely flat black rubber washer remow it put new one back on & reverse all steps to get it back together.

I always broke my mom's when I only hung my head in the tub to wash my hair , when I shut off I turned too hard and often broke the tap right off.

Ran into problems when I was installing a new kitchen sink (Kohler) and went to their website.
It gave exploded diagrams but I think they also had a contact section - might try with yours
