So many videos get taken off though. Even if you use a certain song in your video, sometimes the copyright owners get mad and youtube takes it off. It's free advertising for crying out loud. How many times do you read through the comments and see someone asking what song it is?

 

I was watching some homemade music videos and YouTube took out the original music and replaced it with some elevator music or something like that.

 

They made me change the music in one of my videos with some unheard of crappy stuff. Made me pretty mad.

Gee, they must have someone watching every video that gets uploaded. That sucks.

 

They have some sort of robot that goes through videos listening to them to make sure there's nothing copyrighted in them. Or at least that's what I think it is....

 

That's quite possible. If I can run a program on my cell phone to listen to a radio station and identify a song, i'm sure they can check them during upload too.
