ok I heard a song this morning, and i thought it sounded pretty cool, it was on an alt. rock station, but I have no idea who it is or what its called, but when i heard it I wrote a little of the lyrics down... so i was wondering if someone could help me?
well heres what I have.
"You can hide here in my arms"
"Just take my hand. Don't forget you can count on me, to hold you 'til that feeling is gone, til you carry on."
"Anytime you need someone, someone strong to lean on I'm here for you..."
Well thanks in advance to anyone who knows it, if not they will probably play it again sometime...

my turn then??
"They locked me up, put me away,
Said "You're gonna get out in forever and a day"
I didn't know what was going on,
All I was doing was looking for fun,
Forgot the reason, that's what I'm told,
But you've gotta get it in before you get old,
They thought they had me, had me for keeps,
But they don't know this boy never sleeps,
I'm back on the streets again,
I'm back on my feet again,
(Chorus)
I like laugh, I like a joke,
It's not my fault if my sense of humour broke,
I tried to tell them I was sick,
They said they think it was some kind of a trick,
Alright, I would have done good,
If they had listened to me like they should,
I wouldn't have this loaded gun,
Looking for a citizen to kill just for fun,
It's good to be free again,
It's good to be me again,
(chorus)
Stop me now before I kill myself,
Stop me before I kill somebody else!

......! (x4)
We are scientist in our lab
Looking through the microscope
The little glass slides they never lie
How can this small mind cope?
I've never seen anything like it before
This .......'s got a mind of it's own
But don't turn your back you stupid science world
This is reaching for the telephone
CHORUS
A one celled creature, a one celled thing
It hardly knows it's alive
You're better off dead if you only knew
Your growing life is taking a dive
I've never seen anything like it before
This ......'s got a mind of it's own
But don't turn your back you stupid science world
This is reaching for the telephone

Guess i gotta post a song:
Oh, where have you been, my blue-eyed son?
Oh, where have you been, my darling young one?
I've stumbled on the side of twelve misty mountains,
I've walked and I've crawled on six crooked highways,
I've stepped in the middle of seven sad forests,
I've been out in front of a dozen dead oceans,
I've been ten thousand miles in the mouth of a graveyard,
And it's a hard, and it's a hard, it's a hard, and it's a hard,
And it's a hard rain's a-gonna fall.
Oh, what did you see, my blue-eyed son?
Oh, what did you see, my darling young one?
I saw a newborn baby with wild wolves all around it
I saw a highway of diamonds with nobody on it,
I saw a black branch with blood that kept drippin',
I saw a room full of men with their hammers a-bleedin',
I saw a white ladder all covered with water,
I saw ten thousand talkers whose tongues were all broken,
I saw guns and sharp swords in the hands of young children,
And it's a hard, and it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard,
And it's a hard rain's a-gonna fall.
And what did you hear, my blue-eyed son?
And what did you hear, my darling young one?
I heard the sound of a thunder, it roared out a warnin',
Heard the roar of a wave that could drown the whole world,
Heard one hundred drummers whose hands were a-blazin',
Heard ten thousand whisperin' and nobody listenin',
Heard one person starve, I heard many people laughin',
Heard the song of a poet who died in the gutter,
Heard the sound of a clown who cried in the alley,
And it's a hard, and it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard,
And it's a hard rain's a-gonna fall.
Oh, who did you meet, my blue-eyed son?
Who did you meet, my darling young one?
I met a young child beside a dead pony,
I met a white man who walked a black dog,
I met a young woman whose body was burning,
I met a young girl, she gave me a rainbow,
I met one man who was wounded in love,
I met another man who was wounded with hatred,
And it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard,
It's a hard rain's a-gonna fall.
Oh, what'll you do now, my blue-eyed son?
Oh, what'll you do now, my darling young one?
I'm a-goin' back out 'fore the rain starts a-fallin',
I'll walk to the depths of the deepest black forest,
Where the people are many and their hands are all empty,
Where the pellets of poison are flooding their waters,
Where the home in the valley meets the damp dirty prison,
Where the executioner's face is always well hidden,
Where hunger is ugly, where souls are forgotten,
Where black is the color, where none is the number,
And I'll tell it and think it and speak it and breathe it,
And reflect it from the mountain so all souls can see it,
Then I'll stand on the ocean until I start sinkin',
But I'll know my song well before I start singin',
And it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard,
It's a hard rain's a-gonna fall.
Oh, where have you been, my blue-eyed son?
Oh, where have you been, my darling young one?

I'd rather be a sparrow than a snail
Yes I would, if I could, I surely would
I'd rather be a hammer than a nail
Yes I would, if I only could, I surely would
Away, I'd rather sail away
Like a swan that's here and gone
A man gets tired out to the ground
He gives the world
Its saddest sound
Its saddest sound
I'd rather be a forest than a street
Yes I would, if I could, I surely would
I'd rather feel the earth beneath my feet
Yes I would, if I only could, I surely would

Simon & Garfunkel ?
Here's one:
I'm not feeling alright today,
I'm not feeling that great,
I'm not catching on fire today,
Love has started to fade,
I'm not going to smile today,
I'm not gonna laugh,
You're out living it up today,
I've got dues to pay,
When the grave digger puts on the foreceps,
The stonemason does all the work,
The barber can give you a haircut,
The carpenter can take you out to lunch,
Now, I just want to play on my panpipes,
I just want to drink me some wine,
As soon as you're born, you start dying,
So you might as well have a good time,
Sheep go to Heaven,
Goats go to heck,
Sheep go to Heaven,
Goats go to heck,
I don't wanna go to Sunset Strip,
I don't wanna feel the emptyness,
Old marquees with stupid band names,
I don't wanna go to Sunset Strip,
I don't wanna go to Sunset Strip,
I don't wanna feel the emptyness,
Old marquees with stupid band names,
I don't wanna go to Sunset Strip,

Sheep Go To Heaven...........Cake
Here's one of my all time favs..........
Something in my heart died last night
Just one more chip off an already broken heart
I think the heart broke long ago
That's when I needed you
When I needed you most
I run around like a spirit in flight
fearlessness is fearlessness
I will not forget this night
Dare my wild heart
Where is the reason
Don't blame it on me
Blame it on my wild heart
As to the seasons
You fought from the beginning
Long before I knew it
There was a danger
And the danger was
To fall in love
In dark sorrow
They gaze down into the darkest heart
If I leave you
You say not even you can tear us apart
Say your leaving
You say you don't even know
How to even start
Well believe it then
And don't blame it on my soul
Blame it on my wild heart
Here's one of my all time favs..........
Something in my heart died last night
Just one more chip off an already broken heart
I think the heart broke long ago
That's when I needed you

Nicks- Wild Heart
-----------------------------------------------------
I folow the Moskva
Down to Gorky Park
Listening to the wind of change
An August summer night
Soldiers passing by
Listening to the wind of change
The world is closing in
Did you ever think
That we could be so close, like brothers
The future's in the air
I can feel it everywhere
Blowing with the wind of change
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
in the wind of change
Walking down the street
Distant memories
Are buried in the past forever
I folow the Moskva
Down to Gorky Park
Listening to the wind of change
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams
With you and me
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
in the wind of change
The wind of change
Blows straight into the face of time
Like a stormwind that will ring the freedom bell
For peace of mind
Let your balalaika sing
What my guitar wants to say
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams
With you and me
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away

Winds of Change...................Scorpions
I'm outa luck, outa love
Gotta photograph picture of
Passion killer, you're too much
You're the only one I wanna touch
I see your face every time I dream
On every page, every magazine
So wild so free so far from me
You're all I want, my fantasy
Oh, look what you done to this rock n roll crown
Oh, Oh look what you've done
I'm outa luck, outa love
Gotta photograph picture of
Passion killer, you're too much
You're the only one I wanna touch
I see your face every time I dream
On every page, every magazine
So wild so free so far from me

(man, what's with all these 80's songs lol)
---------------------------------------------------------
(this is one of my current favorite songs)
I'll lose some sales and my boss won't be happy,
but I can't stop listening to the sound
of two soft voices
blended in perfection
from the reels of this record that I've found.
Every day there's a boy in the mirror asking me:
What are you doing here?
Finding all my previous motives
growing increasingly unclear.
I've traveled far and I've burned all the bridges
I believed as soon as I hit land
all the other options held before me,
would wither in the light of my plan.
So I'll lose some sales and my boss won't be happy,
but there's only one thing on my mind
searching boxes underneath the counter,
on a chance that on a tape I'd find:
a song for someone who needs somewhere to long for.
Homesick.
Because I no longer know where home is.

Don't have to go out looking for trouble
Trouble will find you it's a matter of time
That's when you're gonna need someone behind you
A true friend is'nt easy to find
(chorus)
You're gonna find out
You're gonna find out
You're gonna find out who your true friends are
There will come a time
Somewhere down the line
You're gonna find out who your true friends are
Room full of people they start talking
Talking bout you when your not there
Who'll be the one who won't play that game
Who's gonna stand up for your good name
(chorus)
