Very sorry to hear that, my condolences to you and your family. I was 18 when my father passed, spent my 19th birthday at his funeral. I think it was harder on my 16 year old brother and 14 year old sister than it was for me, although I was really close with him. Sounds like there are lot of people on here happy to lend a supportive ear or friendly chat if you need it, and I don't think any of us would be put out if you did want to talk offline.

We're all sorry to hear this news. When I miss my father, I do something that I know that he would like. Like starting up a Mustang, or sometimes I look at pictures of the planes and cars that he put together..Gotta be with family in times like these...

My dad died when I was 21, he was 64, never made his retirement date. He was 42 days away.
Make sure and take care of your Mom, she will need someone in the next few days, weeks, and years.
