Looking for a new GPS

I'm looking to get a new GPS unit, and I wanted to get some recommendations. I have a very old Garmin that I need to replace, and I am looking at ones with Lifetime maps and possibly traffic if that is worth it, as in does it work.

We are planning a driving trip later this year, and over the next couple years. I would like to get something more modern and up to date.

Budget < 200, would like to stay around 150-180.

I use an app called Sygic that runs on my Nexus 7 tablet. The app is free but you buy the maps and POIs and you get free updates for life. I bought the whole world because it was cheaper than buying North America and Europe separately. I've used it on a number of trips and it usually does a great job. It produces odd results from time to time, but then so did the TomToms I had previously. I bought a RAM mount and have been very pleased with it.
Sygic gives you turn-by-turn directions spoken in the language of your choice. It has intelligent lane guidance and warns you of upcoming railroad tracks (even if they are passing overhead), sharp curves, etc. and warns you about speeding and speed cameras. Traffic service is available but I have no idea how good it is.
Here is a photo of my tablet in the RAM mount.

If you are interested I can provide RAM mount parts and links to the tablet, the app, and the mount parts. PM me.
