This has to be the funniest story I have heard in a while. From Corvetteforum.com

"The pictures pretty much tell the story. This happened early Sunday morning down in Lake Forest, CA. For those that don't know its down in Orange County by Irvine. Anyhow I don't want to get into the details except that it was human error and a freak accident. Even more surreal is that no one was in the drivers seat, however, my buddy in the passanger seat went for the ride of his life. All this happened while I was taking a leak on a tree behind the car. Needless to say I was surprised to hear my car take off and plow into the Honda. The best part is that no one was hurt. My buddy feels terrible but I kept telling him that he is alive and the car can be fixed or replaced but he can't. FYI, we have been friends since we were in 1st grade and attended school together all the way through college."

and later ....

"Basically, we were leaving a friends house early Sunday morning. I had to take a leak and gave him the keys so he could get in the car. I watched him get into the car on the passanger side as I walked over to a tree to p*** on. He was trying to be nice and start my car for me from the passanger side by sticking his foot over the center console and most likely straddling himself on the console, however, he did not realize it was in gear. This ended up being a huge mistake and when he let his foot of the clutch the car just bolted and took off. While I was p***ing I could hear the car start up which didn't bother me, but then I heard the tires chirp and the car jerk and take off hard and thats when I turned my head around and my jaw dropped. By the time I turned around the car was already plowing the Honda and it was just unreal. I really wish it was BS but the fact is that I am the owner of a severely damaged Z06."

"Honda smashed into a GMC Sierra's back bumper that was obviously parked in front of it. The GMC faired very well as all it needs is a new bumper and brackets."

i dont buy it. not many z06 owners have to relieve themselves behind their car in broad daylight im sure. not even very many owners of anything.

also i have heard too many stories about "my buddy" who wrecked his car...

Ouch! Might not be Ford, but the tragic loss young of American Muscle is sad

A friend's fiancee had something fall on her car, a Saturn, not a vehicle but very dangerous nevertheless. A piece of an airplane fell on the hood of her car (a very small piece) but it pretty much destroyed the car. There was no way to determine from what plane the piece had fallen (it was just a sheet of metal) Her insurance company had to pay the bill. True story.

Well, this certainly settles the age old question on how aerodynamic the Z06 is. I bet if he was going slightly faster, there wouldn't have been any damage.

At first I thought it was an internet commercial for the new joint venture of GM and Honda with their new "BLUE" on "BLUE" styling ....

Glad no one was hurt ....
