Another Ivan article

I read in this article that not since 1964 have 3 storms hit florida in one season. Now, being a mustang fan, it jumped into my head that thats when the Mustang was first introduced to the US. And now, on the 40th anniversary, here come 3 (maybe even more later) hurricanes.

I was thinking along the lines of a Twister or Sidewinder look... maybe instead of the beige-ish theme, a light blue, a darker windevil blue

A hurricane is thousands of times worse ...

 

My parents both survived one of the three storms that hit Florida in 1964. My dad was only 5, but my mom was 11, and she remembers it quite vividly.

So, Dr Iven may be drivin away from Hurricane Ivan.

 

i've been through an F5 tornado (april 8th 1998 in Jefferson County AL). I prefer to never experience that again.. and I am doing my best to avoid 'canes as well.

An F5, huh? That must've been some scary stuff. I've heard an F2 before (it was a mile from my house late at night), and I watched a water spout in the Atlantic Ocean from my grandparents' beach house for probably 10 minutes. An F5, though... *shivers*

I heard those things can produce winds of over 300 mph. That's NUTS!

 

i'm lucky i live in good ol' california. no problems here, just sun, fun and ....^/\ /\/\/\^/\/\/\/\/\/..... oh crap, what was that?!?


supposedly "the big one" is supposed to hit us soon

 

I've been through both. Neither is fun. My prayers go out to all the people in the path of Ivan, and I hope the big one stays away.

Ivan is equivalent to a F3 tornado that is 70 miles wide ... hurricanes are much much worse.

 

Maybe they could offer a Category 5 package with new rims or other options
