jb weld

Anyone ever use this product? Does it work? My beater sprung a leak in the cooling system so I need to seal it. This item cannot be replaced and the only way to fix it is to take the manifold of and weld it.

jb weld, it works, great actually, its better than superglue; but I wouldnt use it for anything crucial, such as a manifold

JB Weld does work great. But unfortunately I tried it on a radiotor that I couldn't afford to replace in 1991 and it worked only temporarily. The surface must be clean and dry.

JB Weld works awesome, in the right application, and prepped correctly. Back in 86 i rebuilt a 400 Pontiac that had a 1"and a half, by 3/4" piece broke out of the oil pan rail. . I drove that GTO from Michigann to Oklahoma and back, plus all the regular miles. Pulled the engine out last year and tore it down, Jb is still working, buttoned her up and took her to Woodward.

when I was a teenager I did JR Drag Racing and the engine threw a rod. Luckily didn't hurt the piston skirt or cyl wall but put a small quarter hole in the block, JB welded it up and pulled the rod out of an old motor and raced the rest of the weekend with that block. I give it twp thumbs up. Granted its not a 500hp big block but we were running 35-40 hp out of a 5hp block on alcohol.

Try the industrial JB Weld and like previously posted, make sure the surface is clean and you let it sit for the proper amount of time.

I've used it and it works very well. I filled a small hole on a transmission tailshaft on a truck we had and no oil leaked out of it. You must be sure to clean very well the area and sand it a little rough so the product can hold on to it.
