iTunes is ****ing me off!
iTunes is ****ing me off!
OK, up until two days ago, I used my Amex Gold to pay for iTunes purchases. I started getting purchase declines with a message that my billing information didn't match American Express's records. After several unsuccessful attempts to re-authorize the Amex, I authorized my Visa (which I don't want to use for iTunes).
I sent an email to iTunes customer support and they told me I needed to check with Amex to resolve it. I called Amex and they told me that there wasn't a problem and every attempt I had made to authorize the card had been approved. I even tried authorizing my Amex Blue (another account I don't want to use for iTunes) and no luck. Amex says there isn't a problem on their end (which I believe) and Apple tells me it's Amex (which I don't believe since I can use my Amex every where except iTunes). This is ****ing me off since Apple refuses to believe it's their problem.
Anyone else ever had this type of problem with iTunes?

Never had a problem, though my iTunes usage is limited to two TV subscriptions. I'm wondering if Apple added some extra layer of fraud checking that is hanging up your card approvals on their side for some reason. I know that some online systems are having to strengthen checks, as chargebacks from card info stolen by spyware costs a lot of money for the companies out there.

I have been using the 4 digit code for over a year. Let me try the 3 digit code and see what happens.
If you have a Costco there try this here in Canada they have $50.00 i-tune cards ok but they charge $45.00 for it so I went and got $500.00 worth and never had a problem and no credit leaks then as well , Oh thanks for that Gold #rd account info I'll have fun this May in Florida @ the Blackberry convention lol
