Thank you all for responding. Surprisingly 24% lefties as of now.
I did a little more research last night and it seems the percentage of lefties is increasing. Originally thought to be around 10%. It is thought that kids are noe being allowed to be left handed where as in the past they were forced to be righties. I don't know no one ever tried to force me to be right handed other than in sports. I ply golf right handed because as a 12 year old it was impossible to find left handed clubs. They let me be in the batters box because that was supposed to be an advantage. Same with tennis I won several tournaments in tennis just because righties at a young age aren't used to playing left handers where as all I ever played against was left handers. You get a lefty with a hard serve on a tennis court and it can get embarrassing for the opponent.

I'm a lefty, as is my brother. Other than us, nobody else in our family that I know of is left-handed. When it comes to sports, I kick with my right foot, I switch hit in softball but catch with my right, I used my left to serve in volleyball and right to shoot in basketball. I can eat with both hands easily and am pretty much ambidextrous in other things. Learning to drive manual was a bit of a challenge at first. I think if I got into a right-hand drive i'd get settled in rather quickly.

I write, eat played sports left-handed except kicking right foot there. Use computer, drumset, guitars and all my rifles are set up right- handed. Can shoot pistols either way, but right eye dominant.

Glad to have ya! You are right though. The cool guys/girls are left handed.
So I know you golf Cody, which way fo you golf. Like I said I've golfed righty since about age 18. Before that I spent a couple of years trying it left handed after originally learning as a righty.

I've always wanted to carry one left handed club in the bag just to be the guy that can hit out of every situation, but the stupid club limit gets in the way of me putting it in there. I can play left handed, but its not as good. I would really like to putt left handed. I think the left eye dominance and putting righty is really not good. I can't seem to get my eye behind the ball to line up properly if you know what I mean.
And thats a nice compliment Cody, being like you would be good for me, unfortunately I'm a little darker I think. I don't have as much control of the inner demons.

Lefthanders are the only ones in their right minds
My dad uses that one all the time. I chuckle everytime I hear him say it.
I often find myself wondering whether or not I'm being left handed enough. I guess its the OCD in me, but when I'm brushing my hair I'll notice why is the brush in my right hand, or brushing my teeth, am I using the correct hand. Hammering a nail is funny, because I suck at both hands and yet I was a carpenter for several years.
I had an old man I used to work with one time tell me as he was holding a board as I tried to drive a nail in it, and this old man would never ever cuss. Well he told me as I'm bending this nail, and butchering this board, "I hope for your wife's sake you **** better than you nail."

Now a question for you is do you hook when you write or do you smude everything?
I had a third grade teacher very old school who made me sit on those deskchairs made for righties and make me hook my hand when I wrote. I could never get comfortable, to this day I smear.
God I hate gel ink pens!

My dad is a cabinet maker and contractor so of course I worked with him growing up. He always commented on how retarded looking I was watching me swing a hammer. I never missed though and would drive a 16p nail in 3 swings. no more.
Even when I part my hair it's lefthanded and the receding part is greater on the left side

I hook and still smudge the crud out of everything. I turn the paper but still hook when I write. I hate clipboards, spiral notepads, 3 ring binders. If I go to a doctors office and have to fill out papers and they hand me a clipboard, I'll just take the paper and flip it upside down in the clipboard and then flipthe clipboard so that the top is the bottom. This way that clamp doesn't get in the way.
Even those stupid electronic signature pads for credit cards at stores have the wire attached to the right side and its usually tangled and hard to get it to the left side the way that I hold the thing.
The right handed world can be very aggrevating for Gary.
