I'm a left handed person. I've always been curious about the breakdown of lefties in the general population. Please vote whether you are left or right handed.

I know many left handers are probably not solely left handed. I'm a natural left hander as I write with my left, I'm left eye dominant, bat left handed, play pool left handed, and at times have played golf left-handed. However I can throw better right handed, catch like a right hander, play tennis both ways, play golf better right handed, and can switch hit pretty dog gone good.

For the purposes of this poll, which hand do you write with as a child until nowon a daily basis?

Also feel free to post comments about experiences you've had as either a lefty or righty.

I'm right handed, but my dominant eye is the left one

 

My oldest brother is the same way. It worked out great because my dad and I are both left eyed so the three of us could all use the same rifles and shotguns. I'm so left eye dominant its not even funny.

 

I'm as left (side)hand dominant as one gets. I even have 2 left feet! seriously though, there is nothing I can do right handed except rake leaves or shovel dirt or snow!

 

I can remember my older brothers with me in the yard forcing me to throw right handed like they did. Plus I got the hand-me down glove. I'm not saying I throw accurate right handed. I can throw hard, but its as about as accurate as Wild Thing (Charlie Sheen) in the movie Major League when he wasn't wearing his glasses. I can barely hit the first baseman from third.

 

Right handed, though i tried to be ambidextrous in HS. I'm definitely not totally ambidextrous, but my left hand isn't useless like it was.

I'm right handed, but my ******* curves to the left.

 

I'm almost ambidextrous too, except on writing. I can loose fasteners with both hands if need be, hold boxes while I climb a ladder to stock them on the storage bins, hold beers and many things, but I'm righty most of the time.

 

 

I'm starting to suspect that the two go hand-in-hand, so to speak.

Ima righty, so right eye dominant I have to force myself to look out of the left eye on occasion

 

left handed left eye, that helped a ton when I was in the army
