Speaking of which...
Yeah, that whole "force choke the 'secret' wife I love so much I'd go to hell for her" bit was stupid. And then, let's leave the gasping for breath preggo wife alone and battle the former master, losing your other three limbs in one fell swoop...
Lucas sucks as a writer. Period.
Beyond that, though, does it follow that perhaps, just perhaps, since he went all softy and came back from hell to be a good person at the very very end because ol' Palpatine tried to off Luke... if Vader had been given his kids soon after he was mechanically rebuilt, would he have swore off Dark Siding and come back to be a Jedi and good father, and whacked the Emps to save the galaxy as The Chosen One?
And would he have gotten new duds and a kinder lookin' mask?
And would he have encouraged the kids to be Jedis, or find their own way in the world?
And would he have realized his gross mistake in killing the Jedis, including the younglings (really? 'Children' isn't good enough, Lucas?)
