Hmmmm....peanutbutter,lettuce and white bread. Nothing else? One of these days I'll try it. Were you really starving one day or what?

I guess it's a NC/SC thing
Love grits and eggs, even eat spam...I've never heard of liverpudding, but I'll take your word for it as far as taste. I guess everyone has something unique. We eat guacamole on toasted, buttered bread for breakfast. Most people think it's gross until they try it.

What exactly are grits? I keep hearing about them, but I don't know what they are exactly.

mashed up corn, most people that come down from up north try it in instant form, instead of cooked by someone that knows how to fix them, and therefore they dont like 'em

Where do I begin?!
Breakfast-Buttered toast, bacon and homegrown tomato.
Lunch-beef and chicken fajitas, guacamole and homemade hotsauce.
Dessert-Brownies with vanilla bean icecream.
I might never eat again.

^ That sounds good. What I'd do for fajitas! Is there a special way to make them? What to you season the meat with?

I had ribs for dinner. They were pretty nasty. I think I'll have a root beer float now!

We use Fiesta brand extra fancy salt free fajita seasoning, salt and meat tenderizer. Trim most of the fat from the skirt steak(fajita meat). For chicken, use boneless, skinless breast. Apply seasonings, place beef in one ziploc bag, chicken in another.(we left the beef whole, but we cut the chicken into thirds, lengthwise) Pour Italian dressing over meat and keep in refrigerator 4-6 hours at least. We usually grill fajitas on the gas grill because it's easy, but yesterday we used the charcoal grill. Charcoal is much better. The coals were really hot,no flame. We cooked the meat about five minutes or so on each side. We took the meat off of the heat and placed some foil over it while I finished up the tortillas. We used flour tortills, meat, sour cream, guacamole, cheese, homemade hot sauce, and veggies.(green peppers, red peppers and purple onions ,all from the garden, and a little salt and pepper)The veggies were cooked in a skillet with a little canola oil until they were soft. The fajitas were very good.
With the left over beef fajita meat, I'll make nachos. Chips, refried beans, cheese, jalapeno, and meat. Just place them on a cookie sheet under the broiler until the cheese melts. You have to top the nachos with sour cream and guacamole.

Sooooo...how was it? I never cook fish, I'm afraid to try for some reason. We don't eat a lot of salmon here, but I do like snapper, flounder and catfish. I love blue crab, and shrimp might be my favorite seafood.

It wasn't too bad. I've never eaten it before. It was actually a little fishier than I expected. I'm not really much of a fish eater, but thought I'd give it a try. It may have needed a little more old bay sprinkled on it. I had mahi mahi last year for the first time and it was really good. We went deep sea fishing in Aruba and I caught a 40 lb. one. We had it sent to a restaurant for them to cook...... It was delicious. I love blue crab too, but then again I'm from Maryland and we start eating them when we are really young! Ah, crab cakes, crab imperial, hot crab dip. Geez, I'm starting to sound like Bubba in Forrest Gump so I better stop.
