My car was built last week. Should be here soon, but hurricane Rita will be here sooner. Glad my new baby won't have to face the beast. I live on the SW side of Houston and if the models hold will face the brunt of the storm. I out of here and headed to Austin for the Austin City Limits Music Festival at least until it starts pouring there.

Good luck to all my fellow Texas gulf coast residents.

:notnice:

I believe the correct phrasing would be- these hurricanes BLOW

Sorry, just trying to lighten the mood- Head for the hills, let's not have a repeat of New Orleans.

See ya at ACL!! Err, a least my gf might, my dumbbutt isn't going...=P

I'm in Austin and I'm going to park my car in my work's parking garage during the storm. I'm scared of hail and debris being flung around at 75 mph.

I live near Beaumont, Tx and I'm planning on staying unless Rita takes a turn toward us. I'm hoping we'll be far enough east of the landfall that the effects will be minimal.

Be safe everyone - I'll pray for you

Everyone makes fun of Canadian snowy winters, but I'd rather have snow then scary-hiney category 5 hurricaines.

good luck to all...

I wish you all good luck as well. I live in Houston and I have had to evacuate to Austin.

I am also glad that my car isn't arriving until this next week and that I ordered it through a San Antonio dealer instead of a Houston dealer.
