I'd have a TMS race day. All expenses paid trip to a track so we could all pit our mustangs against one another. Of course, if I could afford that, I'd have many other upgrades done to my car.

Assuming you could get 40% of the jackpot (500 million) you would get 200 million. Even earning half a percent a month in interest, you would make 1,000,000 a month! I think I could live off that. If you could get 5% interest, that would be 10,000,000 ($13,389 an hour!)

You'll never get anywhere near that interest rate though. Not unless you invest every single dime in stocks or some other high risk investment. If you put it in a bank you'll get around 3% annual interest rate, which at 200 million would work out to about 6 million per year, or $500,000 per month, or $16,666 per day or just $694 per hour.

Now, how easy would it be to spend $200 million?

Well, this boat costs $4.3 BILLION.

With a boat like that I wouldn't need anything else, except maybe a blonde...

+1 and with 500 million maybe do it a couple times. Of course the wife may not appreciate that, divorce me and take half.

I've got an XDM 9mm 3.8. I really like it. I would like to get something smaller for a CC. Looking at a Sig p238 but that will be a next year purchase.

As far as what I'd do with that amount of money: 1st: I'd turn off my phone, and get a new cell number. 2nd: Move, put the old house up for sale, because winning that kind of money for someone who has never had that much, would cause a lot of problems.

I think it would be a big headache. Your friends and family would treat you differently, or I think they would. I cant imagine the number of people crawling out of the wood work asking for help or loans etc. I would be afraid my kids would drop out of school, since Mom and dad just won 500 million...

I would keep some out for fun: retire now, then travel, new cars, new house, give a little to immediate family members, and invest a big chunk. My wife would like to do some philanthropy work. And hope that I'm not bankrupt in a couple years like a lot of winners.

Guess I'm being a downer.

I'd buy a liquor store right down the road from Lee's house.
