If money wasn't an issue...
Since the Mega Millions jackpot has been all over the news lately, I thought it would be fun to list the things you would do if you had more money than you could spend in your lifetime.
Personally, I'd build a private race track and a stable of cars to race.

you can only do 1 chick at a time unless you have two.... ahhhh nevermind
I would be one of those people that gives away cars. I would also hire most of the best workers at work so I could cripple the company I work for.
I would also start several different businesses including a restaurant

+I would begin a very different sort of Mustang project
http://www.aircraftsalesworld.com/li..._For_Sale.html
But I guess more realistically (especially given the number of times my first mustang project has for whatever reason broken down on the side of the road and a supreme desire to never have that problem at any altitude at all)... pay off them student loans, buy a house most likely, finish the II and my AR build, buy a Mauser broomhandle and an xD 45, build a fairmont wagon, and do a buttload of traveling.

What kind of "compact 1911" do you have? I carry a Colt M1991A1 .45 ACP. It's a lot bigger than the .380, but I don't feel like I'm relying on a toy to save my life.
As for what I would want if I won the lottery.... Sadly, I could spend the entire amount and still want more. Somewhere while I was growing up I realized my dreams couldn't be fulfilled by being a simple millionaire, I would have to be a multibillionaire to afford everything I want.
A short list would be...
Bombardier Global Express XRS 12 seat private jet. ($25 Million)
1964 Ferrari 250 GTO (Last one sold went for $53 Million)
Homes in Texas, Connecticut, Colorado, and Hawaii. ($5-$10 million each)
Heck, I've already spent more than $100 million and I haven't even started my car collection, bought my mega yacht, built my race track, or bought an entire mountain yet.

I'm sure I'd buy stuff (A P-51 or stunt Stearman would be in there), but I'd set up funds so I could live quite well for the rest of my life, pay for my parents to retire in a new house, donate money to my Alma Mater till they put my name on the business building, and I'd probably squeeze in a round of golf or two.

I'd pay for my parents' house, give them however much they needed to live independently for the rest of their lives. After that, I'd pay my bills, buy about 50 acres and put a house, horse barn and cattle pens on it, and give the rest of it away. I have yet to meet or become aware of an obscenely wealthy person that is worth more than the ****s they leave in the crapper. Money changes people, and not in good ways. Besides, anything you buy with it will eventually become boring anyway. Spend it all, then look back on a life of waste and frivolity and end up wishing you'd lived entirely differently.

50 acres arent enough you need at least 160 acres to love and an old grey horse. I would buy a place near Mt Apo phillippines to keep wife happy. A place in Colorado to keep me happy and then travel. I love watching Rick Steves Europe I want to visit those places. A few cars and motorcycles for show and go. Also take care of my wife and my families. Also 500 million after taxes can eaisly be spent In less than a life time. If you arent careful many multimillionares have gone broke. You have to put the money to work and live off the intrest. Oh I would also support various charities after checking out how they spend the money. I like ones that teach people jobs and provided capital for start ups.

I've got a Kel Tec .380 for carry, but I never carry it. Just something about that gun that I don't like. What kind of "compact 1911" do you have? I carry a Colt M1991A1 .45 ACP. It's a lot bigger than the .380, but I don't feel like I'm relying on a toy to save my life.
